    water leaks

Ok, ran some water tests. Not from the plenum area for sure. Wiper arms rebuilt with new seals, so I guess that leaves the windshield seal corners. The windshield seal was replaced when I did the paint work, and no rust anywhere in the corners. I guess that leaves the seal install itself -...

    water leaks

I have water leaking in from both sides near the kick panels - most likely coming from the cowl plenum on my 74 Duster. Did I miss something when I had the front end off the car during restoration? Plenum drain tubes??? Thanks, John

    Magnum 318 / 360 engine

Nice plan Rob. Trick Flow is probably the way to go with a stroker kit and when you figure in head machining costs. Pic = my low cost ring squaring tool for under 4" bores ( reads 318).

    Magnum 318 / 360 engine

Thanks Rob. Ya, The 96 318 Motor I bought had cracked heads ( 7 out of 8 chambers - between the seats ). Since I did some pocket port work on them anyway, I just had some fresh seats put in them. Will keep your post in mind for future head purchases though. I'm up to speed on 727 rebuilds, but...

    Magnum 318 / 360 engine

Thanks for the feed back all!! All good info I can use in my search. Just finished a 96 Dakota (318 & 46RE) in to a 74 Duster. Package came with no electronics, so I went "old school" with a 727. I want to "step up" with my next project ( Magnum, TPI, computer, OBD2. A whole truck purchase (...

    Magnum 318 / 360 engine

My post didn't generate much feed back? Maybe if I simplify it and just say; Looking for a Dodge / Chrysler in my local bone yard with a 318 / 360 Magnum engine and drivetrain to swap in to my next project car. What years would I be looking for? Any years better than others? - avoiding the...

[FOR SALE] A/C pump and clutch

The compressor fits any small block. I bought it as a remanufactured unit and ran R134A in it. Worked great. You just have to make sure you run the correct oil - going from R12 to R134A. In my case, I had to dump the oil in the crankcase ( measure how much you take out ) and refill with pag oil...

    Cams for 318's

Yes, very good numbers for that combo - and I am sure a fun streeter to drive. Pic is checking installed spring height on Magnum heads going on my 318 in my 74 Duster. Seals installed, and clearance to bottom of retainers was checked next with "light" checking springs, both on intake and...

    Cams for 318's

Just never heard of .520 as being the accepted max lift before having to cut down the guide bosses? Could be. Variables I was referring to are spring retainers used, keepers used, suggested ( by the cam Mfg.) spring installed height, new guide installation height. At any rate, I didn't have a...
