Might apply to some models but not A Bodies I can say with the top up the inside of my 67 stays nice and warm. Now with the top down and -10 deg F outside, that's another thing!

It's really about following the traces on the board. If the trace on one side of a bulb goes to a screw it's the ground side of the bulb.

Just a guess... On the assy line the stud would hold the brkt in place and gravity would cause it to hang? Or maybe they found issues welding it one way vs another? Or maybe the FSM used a generic photo? As noted above if it's well attached it will last your life time

If you look at a 67, it has rectangular front turn signals, 68 went round (very cool), 69 realized 67 was the coolest so they went back to rectangular! See 67 is the coolest of them all!
