fwiw here is what I can come up with: Pre 65 body tag digits are mapped to different sales codes depending on the assembly plant. There should be two digits prior to the 4 on the vin tag, the 4 (digit 3) is 64, the 2 (4th digit) is assembly plant = Hamtramck, then the last 6 are the sequence...
