    Holley Double Pumper Question(s)

Is there a decent parts diagram that can identify that rear set screw? I don’t know where or what screw that is. Also the idle set screw doesn’t engage and there must be a reason. It is like it’s 3/8 too short but I know that it’s not. Does the carb need something to bring the idel set point...

    Clear float bowl plugs

If you don’t have sight plugs then is float height just a mechanical measurement while disassembled? Like my motorcycles?

    Clear float bowl plugs

Does anyone use those clear see-through float bowl plugs? Seems like that’s a great idea rather than spilling gas anytime you wanna check float height. But I’m not sure if they work very well. Oh and are these used just as a diagnostic tool or run permanently?

Paint it, Clear it or Let It Rip?

Another taste….. 77% said paint. So I did and I am super happy. Now if I can bend and shape my kickdown bracket to fit all would be right with the world!

Paint it, Clear it or Let It Rip?

I went to the hardware store to see if I could match the color of my manifold. I asked if they had “infected dog but” but they just ran out and said just wait.

Paint it, Clear it or Let It Rip?

No the holes were good. I used JB Weld and tapped them in. I test fitted each plug as there was some variability, so some plugs fit better than others.

Paint it, Clear it or Let It Rip?

So I am still waiting on my thermostat water housing. I assume that not having a thermostat relief for the thermostat to sit in the manifold is normal? The relief must be in the mating housing?
