Does anyone know how to repair my trunk lock? There is a piece missing, but I don't know what piece. It has always worked properly, but I think someone tried getting in the trunk and they broke it. Thank you! It's a 1976 Plymouth Feather Duster

I accidentally broke 5 of these metal pieces while unplugging the instrument panel from the dash. I tried to solder them, but it did not work .

The wiring harness manual says the Front Parking Lights (#27) and Right/Left Turn Signals (#25 #26) go to the same bulb, but my previous bulb has 3 wires and the new harness shows only two wires. Which wires do I splice the new wires to?

So if I remove the plastic piece and the two red wires, it won't affect anything else in the car? I don't really want to pay for an annoying sound either.

I broke part of this plastic piece. Does anyone know what it’s called, so I can order a new one? I think it is a button that is pushed whenever you turn the key over. It has two red wires attached to it.

I got my 1976 Plymouth Duster Wiring Diagram. If anyone needs it.

All of the fusible link wires are black. After tearing apart all the tape, I found that the long side of the fusible link wires runs to the battery, then comes back and was connected as a third wire back to the rubber piece seen in the picture. The dangling bare wires were connected to this wire.

What size fuse do I use? Will the old fusible link have the amp written on it?

There’s only two fusible link wires under the hood, so this would probably be too bulky. It’s interesting though.

I was going to replace the engine to front light harness, but since I can’t find one, I’m just going to try to repair the few wires that are messed up.

I’m in physics right now and we are learning about circuits, so maybe that will help me.

I bought a laminated wiring diagram and service manual from eBay, so hopefully I’ll be able to get it down.

Doing that would be the easiest thing to do, I’ll try it if no one else objects to it.

The single wire is connected to two wires that have a fusible link and each of them have two different gauge wires on each side of the fusible link. Sorry if I made that confusing earlier.

I'm not sure where to find a fusible link wire that is both 18 and 14 gauge though. The ones I see online are all the same gauge on each side.

Would it be okay to splice that in, even though the wires will be different gauges on each side?

Can I just cut the rubber piece off and splice them all three together or does the rubber piece have to be where they come together?

This wire isn’t repairable because it’s so close to that rubber piece. Where can I find a replacement fusible link like this one? The two coming out of the same side are only less than a foot long, but the single wire side is about 2 ft long. I can take more pictures if that would help.
