    Got to take our cars to a couple small shows in the last to weeks. The son ended up with some bling to go with his car. I need to take car of a few things on mine so he doesn't get all of the attention.

    A little update on our projects first two hundred miles. Mile 43. Coil went bad. Replaced. Also replaced thermostat temp was running cool temp problem. fixed Mile 113. Alternator tension backed off...

    No problem. We also tapered the fade outs the scope where they meet the hood to thin them out. Paper thin at edges. Forgot to mention it also got pop riveted down. But some of the heads get ground off in finishing.

    We used 3m panel bond. It can be spread then icing body filler. We open and shut the hood a hundred times adjusting the hood and finishing the car and its still good. Time will tell though.

    First time car has been run in twenty years I'm guessing. No leaks. This seems like it is going to be a quick revving engine, very responsive. You will have to excuse the thrown together open exhaust.

    Got front part of carpet roughed in and shifter bolted down and adjusted.

    Logan got a new trunk board cut out using the original as a pattern, and got the trunk mat installed. Actually he cut two out, one for my car also. So we both got new shiny trunks tonight.

    All the fuel lines are in. Modified some the the clamps to allow a longer Allen head though. Drilled and tapped and installed.

    Steering column is off the list and in the car. Was a breeze to rebuild.

    Started rebuilding the steering column tonight also. Got is disabled cleaned and painted. Will let it dry for a couple of days.

    Dash is all buttoned up. Installed the wideband meter in the corner of the glovebox so it is visible with the glovebox door open. Had to put the manual back in.

    All the wiring is squared away and wrapped. Engine bay just needs a good cleaning, but that can wait till the end.

    Got the heater controls working this evening. Just had to hook one of the "mystery wires" we didn't know where it went when we went through the harness. Like most questions about A bodies I found this diagram on here. Thanks again everyone.

    Wiring is all done for the most part. Everything works except the blower motor. Have to chase down what we missed in hooking it up. It's an ac car without ac for now. Wiring diagram is a bit vague.

    Wiring from firewall to rear of car done. Just have to run some speaker wires. Some of wiring in engine compartment is in including a wideband A/F meter, witch will be mounted in the glovebox.

    I believe most parts stores carry them. Engine to body/ subframe in front and body to battery in trunk. Will also run a 10ga ground from battery past all rear lights to dash and from dash past all front lights. Bonding it to body in a few locations to body.

    We got the battery relocation done and engine to body ground done. Just FYI the side post adapter that came with the relocation kit happens to have the same threads as one of the vacant holes in the front of the head. Will give us a nice place to jump car and not hurt the painted suffuses.
