Thanks for the suggestion, those are good pumps as long as the seal is good, he has a carter on it that looks like that, but it leaks at the bottom seal, but it works. the cheap ones at auto zone were garbage out of the box, we went through 3 of them.

He just needs a mechanical pump.

ok, sorry about misunderstanding what you wrote. here is the following checks i did this morning. batt voltage at rest was 12.47 volts batt voltage after running and warmed up was 14.8 to 14.9 v neg post to vr ear was 0.09 v with no load. neg post to vr ear was 0.31 v with headlights on...

The ohms reading was on the ground circuit you mentioned earlier.

Ok, checked the reading between neg batt post and vr, 0.00 ohms when off, between 7 and 8 ohms running, not sure if i did that right. where voltage reg gets power at ballast i had 12 volt and battery had 12.6 volts, so that's my problem, I think I'll just rewire the whole thing and start fresh...

Well it might be possible, the only difference I noted between the regulators was the old one made all my lights flicker at idle, with the new one they don't, but they both charged the same. Could the alternator be bad ?

Well I didn't think about that. That is an involved project I will have to wait a couple days to do. It doesn't have a slip yoke so I have to unbolt the carrier bearing. The drive shaft is all of 9 or 10 feet long on this thing. :-|

I have double checked th u joints, there isn't any play in them, very solid. I'm going to change th tranny mount tonight and make sure the driveline hasn't lost a weight. I'll let ya know if that helps or not.

The flexalite heater can be found in a summit racing or jegs catalog, or google it. basically it's a small heater that runs on the coolant from the engine.

Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? Whats wrong with the factory heater? especially if you need one. If you're not going to keep the factory heater, then you will need to make a cover for the hole and put what other type of heater you want in it. It doesn't get much simpler than that. It...
