Not a newbie, but it's been a minute

Just logged back in and looked around a bit. Lots of names I recognize, many I'm glad to see still here. The last time I posted was back in 2016, lol. Still have the same old 74 swinger with a stroked small block.

    Thinking about moving to Florida,,,

Thank you to all that have contributed. I've been looking at the north central area and there are some good deals out there if you look. I do have a question about vehicle registration, specifically pro street cars. Do I have to have vehicles inspected when we move there or is there a get...

    Thinking about moving to Florida,,,

Finding the houses in the price range is not an issue. The real scary part is not knowing what the area is like. We're not interested in being right in the mix with all of the tourists, and as far as living outside of big cities,,,,, let's just say I'm married to a red headed country girl that...

    Thinking about moving to Florida,,,

The wife and I are thinking of moving to Fla when she's ready to retire, which should be in the next three years or so. Anybody give me some insight as to areas that would be a good place. We are looking to buy and would like to keep it around the $100,000 range. It's just the two of us and a...

    questions about camping at carlisle....

I used to camp on sight for the Chrysler meet but I haven't been in a couple of years. Are they still doing on sight camping? The second part, has anyone used any of the campsites outside the gates? Any experience will be helpful. Thanks, Mike

    Up Grades on Stroker-Suggestions

If it were me, I would start with the head work and a convertor change as has been stated. Next, if the compression ratio is on the high side, a cam change. A roller cam is what I would lean towards. That should get you down the road pretty good. Just my 2 cents, g'day

Insulation done! Shop heater questions. Electrical gurus.

I use a 4500 watt electric forced air unit to heat the shop up pretty quickly, while I get the pellet stove going. The heater I use was purchased at Noland Company, it only runs on a thirty amp, two pole breaker and plugs into the same outlet style that I use for my mig welder. All I did...

anyone familiar with holley commander 950?

oh and it has the manual, at first glance, I would have to say that the manual weighs more than the system, lol

anyone familiar with holley commander 950?

I can pick up the system, it's multi-port, all the software, wiring, all the sensors except the o2 sensor, and the ecm for $250. I would have to change my super victor to the fuel injected version, get a set of rails, injectors, and redo my fuel pump and add a return.

anyone familiar with holley commander 950?

I have the chance to get a MFPI system used, all the software,"four barrel" body, wiring, etc. the only things I'm told I'll need are rails and injectors. My question is if this will be an improvement over my 950 proform on the freshly built stroker. It's a playtoy 414"running 11.2/1...

Difference in Victor and Super Victor Intake

I'm running a super victor on my 414" and it has a LOT of meat in it. Very accepting of port work. The only thing I did to mine was gasket match, and add some coolant return lines from the back water passages to the t-stat housing. Seems to be working

Charleston, WV on a Saturday night,,,,

I rode around a little bit, earlier. The rain must have kept people in, or people just don't cruise the area I'm in. Either way, not much on going out and about in unknown areas. The boats on the river were cool to watch during the afternoon "rush hour"
