    Issues With 1960 Speedometer

The hairspring sounds like the issue. I had a very small amount of knowledge about speedo operation. That would explain why the odo works but not the speedo. The question then is it preloaded with a set number of turns or tension? I guess I have to open it back up to see if it got damaged or...

    Issues With 1960 Speedometer

So a brief description of the issues I am facing in getting my speedo working properly. First thing its an A903 3 speed behind a slant 6. The needle was broken off so I used a thin pin behind the needle and glued it in place. It worked after that but worked is a loose approximation-it bounced...

    Saw a Whacko this morning

I always back into parking spots and taught my daughter to do the same. The wife-different matter! Its safer to back into a spot where there shouldn't be any vehicle or pedestrian traffic. And again safer to drive straight out into traffic with full forward visibility.

Gentlemen: How do you look when you're hot?

Ha no wasn't pegged! On this trip the speedo started out about 20mph to low then after 90 minutes it started to howl and wrapped around to that point! I just unhooked the cable for the rest of the trip. That video was about 80 km/hr as per my cell phone app. Any higher in the revs and it would...

[WANTED] WTB Rear Brake Drum 9x2

Well I picked up another A-body (more on that later) and one of the rear drums has welded it to the brake pads and isn't coming off. We beat on it and my partner bent the heck out of the face of the drum and is cutting it off with a grinder. That being said we need a crappy brake drum ASAP just...

Water temp and oil pressure gauges.

For the mechanical water temperature sensor there is a hex plug on the passenger side of the block near the oil filter. It takes a 3/8"-14 NPT fitting. I used that for my mechanical temp gauge.
