    UTG engine build "callout"

Uncle Tony vs anyone from forabodiesonly! $2000 budget u can buy or do anything u want to your motor. Only thing is has to be a 1970s 318. Other than that do u anything u like. But $2000 is all u can spend. Motors must be tested on same dyno. So all u haters step up and challenge him. I say...

If I run stock heads should I upgrade the valves to 2.14x1.81?

    400 Non Stroker Build

I will have to see what the machine shop says etc.... about grinding and the $. I’m gonna have to set down and figure out how much more a stroker kit would be. I’m leaning toward just boring this out .030 with KB240 pistons and getting a decent cam and for heads run a set of these heads just...

    400 Non Stroker Build

Mine may goal is pump gas 93 octane is fine doesn’t have to be 87. And try to make this Cbody move a little with this 400 and be streetable. I will probably run at least 3:55 gears or lower. If I wanna go on a road trip will swap gears. I just wanna make sure the motor is not to radical where it...

    400 Non Stroker Build

Thanks for the help everyone! If I go aluminum heads I will definitely pick a cam to take advantage of them. That cam is from the build I linked so it’s not set in stone that’s what I will run.

    400 Non Stroker Build

The thumpr is 227-241@ .050 and 480's-.490's lift. But with stock rockers lift is more like .450's and .460's. LCA is 107 This is the cam used in the link I posted above. I believe IQ52 did that build?

    400 Non Stroker Build

I’m assuming it would be better to run the Stealth heads over 906/452 heads? The 906/452 would have 2.08 intake where the Stealths come with a 2.14 I believe plus there aluminum and probably flow better.

400 BB Mopar budget dyno test***MORE PICS I think this looks like a good build? I’m assuming those were the KB240s and I would more than likely run Stealth aluminum heads. So it should make good power and be streetable and run on pump gas. Given the car is heavy I will obviously put lower gears...

    It has a cast crank.

    400 Non Stroker Build

Would those be a better choice than the KB240 pistons??
  12. Bronson77

    400 Non Stroker Build

Yes it’s a heavy car! I plan on a converter upgrade and also putting lower gears in it..... if I were to run at that strip etc..... if I wanna run on the highway I can always swap back. I thought I read somewhere the Stealths were supposed to be around 80cc? Don’t know on that. Maybe stock...

    400 Non Stroker Build

Looks like though it will run good with the low compression though. I’m rebuilding the motor so it will be getting new pistons
  14. Bronson77

    400 Non Stroker Build

The Keith Black 240 pistons should bring compression up some correct? And I may run Stealth aluminum heads if that matters. The heads I have are 902 castings. So I think the Stealths would be a upgrade??? And with this combo I should be able to still run pump gas correct? Sorry for the questions...

    400 Non Stroker Build

I thought Keith Black made pistons for a 400 maybe they are just stroker pistons???? Not sure on that. Don’t need nothing radical on compression but would like more than stock. Keep it where I can run pump gas.

    400 Non Stroker Build

I have a 76 400 I’m thinking about dropping in a 71 C-body. The motor needs rebuilt. I would like to know what kind of power I could realistically make with this. Keith Black makes pistons I can use to help raise compression correct? Say .030 400 pistons. I’ve seen some pistons but most are...

    John Deere Blitz Black

Does anybody have any experience with this paint? Can you use a different hardener other than there brand? Something cheaper? Also has anybody used it out of the rattle cans? If so how did it turn out? I have a old Dakota I would like to paint It a satin black. I’ve never painted before so I...

    2003 5.9 Magnum Damper

I’m trying to remove the harmonic balancer on a 2003 5.9 Mag. It’s a one piece unit with the pulley on it. Pulley is not bolted to it. Does anyone know what puller I need to remove it? The one I have will not work. Looking for a link to one so I can buy one. I found a Evertough 67005 Chrysler...

    95 Dakota build

My goal with the truck is to hit 13’s or possibly 12’s.... I would like to do some spirited street driving and be able to cruise. I have decided to run a 5.9. Just tossed the 5.2 idea out there. Yes I have od a 46rh tranny. And I have a suregrip 8.25 rear with 3.55 gears but I will be...

    95 Dakota build

I will definitely be running a lower gear and 2800 rpm stall. So I don’t know if that would effect the 258 cam or not. I’m thinking I would not have to kill anything with this cam etc... would this cam make decent power in a 5.9?
  27. Bronson77

    95 Dakota build

Plus I think the duration would be more friendly on the 258 cam?
  28. Bronson77

    95 Dakota build

Pretty sure I can get the 258 cam only be out shipping. So basically can swap it.
