    Great Time at MATS.

Congrats on the wins! I usually try to go every year. Fun field gets the dart and I thru the door. The rain stopped me this year. My day is usually Friday. Saturday morning it was still dripping and i never left the house. Wish I had changed my mind at noon, but was into yard work by...

Starting my Early-A Conversion to disc

The one closest to the firewall connects to the rear brakes, and the front connects to the front brakes.

Starting my Early-A Conversion to disc

@MidnightSwinger I ran my master lines to the outside of the clutch pedal linkage. Took a little coaxing. Not sure if correct. It made it easier to get the torque shaft in place. Works just fine and clears well. The hole to the rear of the block. goes to the rear brakes.

Starting my Early-A Conversion to disc

The one you have attached for the passenger side, I slid the bending spring down to the fitting and bent it between 60° and 90° to go in thru the side, it the noutes to the firewall and back up to go around the engime. The short driver side line out the front, because I didn't think it would...

Starting my Early-A Conversion to disc

Finished this up last weekend. Completed replacing all of the lines with stainless lines from inline tube. Bled the brakes last weekend and test drove. No leaks, way more pedal than the single master ever thought of having. Taking her out tomorrow for the Sunday get together.

    ‘65 4 Speed Hump Install

Not really impressed by the hack job in that FB pic. Shift rods on the inside of the car and tweaked and bent to accommodate not putting the tunnel in right, seems like an issue waiting to happen to me. I don't have non carpeted pics of my original floor speed hump from the top, but the...

    Early A-Body Convertible Top Replacement

The technical service manual has decent instructions, and there are online resources that go through the process. Both of the mopars I put tops on, I paid an upholsterer shop to install them. He had better top, back window and parts prices than I could find online and did it right the first...

    Room for a Clutch-Fan in a '65?

If you are trying to get that 10 or so HP back from the rotating weight from the steel fan, why not go to an electric and get that additional HP from not putting the clutch fan in at all???

I go in for tire repair and the man asks about my windshield wipers....?

With the 13" stainless blades on my dart, I'd have told them, 'if you have refills that fit, I'll buy a set'. Knowing full well they won't have them.

Shapeways for Convertible Latch and '66 Headlight Adjusters

I wonder how they would hold up in the heat down here. The last nylon ones I put on here, where they've seen 125degree heat in the shade and much hotter in the sun, worked for a summer, the heat bent them out and they broke between the two bolts/rivets. 3 sets in 5 years and gave up getting...

    What would you do

Does the 273 crank turn? Starter work? What carb is on it? 2bbl or 4bbl? Valve covers and intake bolted down? 4 speed or automatic? Driveline in place? If it doesn't have to be rebuilt you might spend some time and effort to make it run to evaluate your next steps. If it's not seized, it...

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

Perfect fit. Have a few things left to hook up like the throttle cable. Still need to grease up the ball joints and front end. Will get the wife out to help bleed the system today.

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

My lines were all seized in the proportioning block and wouldn't budge, which is what prompted the full set. Ended up cutting them off with the dremel to get the old block out .

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

I bought inline tube's complete dual stainless kit. And replaced all of the lines on the car yesterday. I bought the '65 conversion proportioning block. BLK243, it was the closest match to the original, but I did have to bend the passenger front line T a 90 to make it work with the present...

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

Thanks, I picked one up, and will use it if I want the pedal in a different position after install today. Mine has the non adjustable as well. Thanks this is the assumption I was making after looking at them as well. I am switching to disc but using the 67 MC. Won't be using an adapter on...

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

Do I need to change my Master cylinder pushrod rod for a '65, to convert from a single to dual reservoir Master Cylinder?? It was suggested, but the original in my 65 dart manual brakes looks to hit the '67 MC just right, in the same spot. If I don't need to change it, will just put a new...

Tire pressure for a 1962 Valiant with 14" tires

Does the tire say 26 psi minimum pressure on the side of it? These early a's came with biased ply, running radials, I usually read the tire to tell me. I usually run my 225/60 R14s between 35 and 40. You could always do a chalk test to get to the right pressure for your tire rim combo. (look...

That screw and tear drop washer come off so you can then bench bleed the master cylinder. Then on mine (manual) there is a 2-bolt retainer that holds the rubber dust boot in place on that, which uses that hole with the screw in it and the opposite hole. My new master came with the boot...
