Towards the front of the cam, between the lobes, there is EP 18, also DI and CWC 1.5 with Red dot. Towards the end of the cam, between the lobes, there is J6 with blue paint mark. The very end of the cam has the M P J with the three blue dots. This is real faint. Thanks Dave W

Update : took the engine apart and found a number of issues. The issue was the result of the engine sitting so long. Sludge in the oil pan, one piston with rings frozen on piston, dirty lifters,... etc... I'm trying to ID the cam, which is marked with MPJ with 3 blue dots. Is it a Mopar...

I think it was wishful thinking on my part... There seems to be bigger issues. Bought an engine stand so I can remove the crank... More to follow... Dave W.

Moparmase, See my post from yesterday... I found that my head bolt hole had some RTV at the bottom of the hole. Check and clean your head bolt hole... You don't need to take the engine apart to do this.

I believe I found my issue. When we opened up the engine yesterday, we notice that the builder had used lots of black RFV when putting the engine together. RE: the head bolt you're using in the hole where the oil passage is might be too big or does not have a taper on it to allow oil to get...

I pulled my engine and removed the intake and driver side head. Then I removed the cam and all of the holes are visible and the cam bearings are only a tiny bit off, very little from the oil holes. I was expecting to see one blocked. Any thoughts will be appreciated! Thanks, Dave W.

I was able to find 90* before top dead center coming up on #1 compression and was able to prim and get lots of oil like Old Faithful..., so the pass side rockers have oil. The driver side is another story, since i don't have a degree wheel or know how far 20 degrees is, it's a matter of...

I installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge and it is showing 60 plus pounds of pressure using the drill to prim it. Still no oil to driver side. Re: turn the motor to 20* after top dead center just past #6 compression. The drivers side rockers should get oil. How many inches is 20 degrees...

I removed the rockers on both sides and ran a small wire down the oil hole on each side after finding #1... the wire went down just over 4 inches on both sides. Not sure how far it should go? Thanks everyone...

Yes, I have the sender for the ralley oil pressure gauge connected. But, I haven't checked the gauge to see what it is showing...

More info : The engine was built a few years ago by an engine shop. The engine is in the car. I am looking at what is coming up to the rockers. Confirmed that the rockers are installed correctly : the rocker arm notch is toward the front of the car on the driver side and toward the back of...

I'm trying to prime the oil pump in my rebuilt 340 using a drill and priming rod, while rotating the crank by hand. I get no oil on driver's side, but have plenty of oil on the other side. Any idea's? Thanks, Dave W.

I ended up moving the lighter from the ash tray to the dash hole in question.

My rally dash has a hole just pass the radio, what is this for? I've seen pics on this site that have a switch installed, while other pics just show a hole with no switch installed... I thought that maybe it was for the cig lighter... But mine has the cig lighter as part of the ash tray. Thanks!
