Very nice job! I just finished installing a set of long TTI headers in a 72 Dart. Absolutely by far the worst pain in the @#$&* to install. Basically had to pull the engine out and angle it towards the drivers side then the pax side to install. It was horrible. Anyways they are installed...

I would probably pull engine and pan to investigate the issue if that’s possible after ruling out a lifter problem. Not what you want to hear I’m sure. Could be an oil pump giving out. I’ve had that happen.

I did some more research and called the company that built the transmission and they said it didn’t matter. That is if both hook ups were at the bottom of the radiator. So you were right it didn’t matter.

Well both of my connections are on the bottom of the radiator. So your saying it doesn’t matter which line goes where.

Not yet, just trying to get the engine running for now. What side of radiator does the return go to?

Hello everyone. This is a crazy question but I have a 72 Dart that I’m restoring and forgot where the transmission lines go to the radiator. It’s a 727 torque flight. They are braided so they look the same. I forgot to mark them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just took mine back. I had 2 sets. They gave me a gift card. I’m ok with that. Bought a welder with the help of the gift card.

Well it looks like they had 2 blacks coming off off the ballast. I’m not sure they were even functioning. The old distributor had a brown and orange coming off of it. Thanks for the info on the pigtail.

The engine came with the big GM HEI distributor with the coil in cap. That’s why I was asking about the those wires. The 2 wires that were plugged into the old distributor I believe plug into the Gm hei. One is hot and the other I think is or was a tach. It does have an after market tach.

I share your frustrations, I’m in the middle of the same project. What a %$@# anyway I will post my end result in a few days.

So the last guy who had the car put an external 4 pin module on the firewall and I believe he tried to bypass the ballast resistor. The ballast resistor is still there with wires connected but not sure if it’s doing anything. So the old electronic ignition distributor has the 2 wires...
