    [WANTED] 8 3/4" Center Section

I am pretty set on the 3.73, and at your prices (which are very fair I might add) I wouldn't want to have to change the gearing. I will think on it though, thank you for the reply.

    [WANTED] 8 3/4" Center Section

Does anyone have an extra 8 3/4 center section they want to get rid of? I currently have a 741 and would take another one of them, or the 742 489 if available. If it had 3.73 and or a lsd that would be even better. Switching the A100 from 3.23

All aftermarket crap does that. No one makes quality part like that anymore. But yes, thank you for the reminder.

Yup. Got the Mildon 180 degree high flow and a fancy chrome housing too. LOL

    Wake up a 1968 318...

I was daily driving it for several weeks. It's been running not, and I think that the water pump is bad so it's been parked for a couple weeks. Changing the pump to a high flow and putting in an FSR aluminum radiator this weekend and should be back on the road.

It was a two barrel. Was told it was a one, it was not.

Yeah, I can't believe those were even a thing.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Oh for sure. My friend is a VERY solid Mopar mechanic and went through all of that. We've already broke in the cam (wound up using the old tired springs) and torn the manifold back off to look at everything and make sure it broke in properly. It did :)

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Thank you to all for the advice, wound up doing a full rebuild on the 318. Here's what we put in there. Summit 600cfm electronic choke that I had NIB laying around. Edelbrock Performer manifold Indy 318 heads with beehive springs from them, hardened seats etc. (wanted LAX, but they don't have...

    Wake up a 1968 318...

I'm pulling the doghouse off anyways to insulate it so I will look, but it's really from behind the bell housing and I am pretty certain that it's from there. Hopefully I am wrong.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Sounds good. Unfortunately I now have some more issues to deal with because I started leaking coolant from the back of the motor. I am pretty sure that their is a bad freeze plug or plugs back there, but it's behind the transmission so I am not sure. The rest of the freeze plugs on the motor...

What did you do? Got pics?

Thanks for the advice. That sounds like a good plan right there, and this is definitely not gonna be a higher reving or big horsepower vehicle. Just want something that's reliable and got a little bit of umph.

It's got a little under 65k, was a farm truck it's whole life.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Your plan sounds perfect to me. I already own the Summit 600, new in box so the price is right for that. Will probably pony up the cash for the aftermarket manifold and I don't REALLY want to do cama or anything else beside headers. Done done done. Thanks.

    I'm looking forward to that.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

I will look into that, thank you. I found an original service manual online and it's in the mail, might have arrived today. Looking forward to actually getting into the van a little this weekend since I haven't had much time to really look at it. Just know that it runs and drives and I love it.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

The carb that I already own? If so that would be sweet. Apparently almost any of the 318 headers will work on this van. I looked it up online and apparently there's hella more room than basically everything. I was thinking of trying some B body or block huggers though. It's a single now, but I...

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Thanks! I doubt that it's been swapped. It's got less than 65k on the clock, was on a farm here outside of Atlanta for almost it's whole life.

    My 1968 Dodge A100 (It's kind of an A!)

I've got an idea how to get my chopper IN the van to get places and then with a few minutes of changing things around have it a camper once I unload the bike.

The rear axle of the VIN tag "Rear Axle 3600 35 RA36", but I haven't been able to find a place to decode what that equates.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

AND to be honest I haven't pulled anything to look at it yet, that what the PO said it had. I know that there's no choke and it's a hella cold starting vehicle, but I bet it's probably a 2 barrel. I guess that I should have mentioned that in the original post.

    Wake up a 1968 318...

Yeah, didn't really want to have to cam it or anything, just wake it up a little.

I actually have a brand new Summit 600 at home, so would be great if a manifold and that would work out. Summit Racing® M2008 Series Carburetors SUM-M08600VS

    Wake up a 1968 318...

I have a 1968 318 with (what the PO says is a) dang 1 barrel carb that has no choke and I want to wake it up. It's in a van and I am not really looking for any major performance upgrades, but I feel like the motor has a lot more potential without doing all too much to it. Does anyone here have...
