I didnt thank about the macro approach. Right now, I extruded the overall solid. Inventor has a feature where you can paint brush select multiple stl triangles and the program can generate a spline surface. Then i use that to remove material. Just discovered it last night.

After consulting multiple professional reverse engineering people, because of money I will have to figure out for myself the painstaking process of recreating the scan data of the head into something usable for a foundry to cast. Will update in a year or so when the model is complete, haha.

well I got told off on the b body forum for looking for help so I am just posting on here that I am doing something with it. Aiming to recreate a functioning version of the motor. Have CT scanned the heads already. Processing the data is where I am at currently.
