Small bolt pattern with used tires and original caps. Was a good set up to get the project towed to my garage. Going with discs now. Metal is all solid and unmolested, just dirty. Local pick up from 78748. Can bring as far as outskirts of Austin. $50 obo
Is there any significant difference between 5.7 donors from cars vs trucks? I've read passing comments about pulling from trucks but only know about one or two differences in the actual structure of them.
I'm starting with the rear end because they're so cheap and plentiful. Gonna be driving around with an 8.8 behind a 170 until I build the swap motor. Can't hurt to grab the explorer driveshaft.
Just occurred to me I can crawl under the car with a tape. Gonna grab an 8.8 from salvage soon. Thought I remember someone saying stock drive shaft is a little short but usable. I'm imagining that means the Ford driveshaft is a little longer, and maybe I could use it to move my wheel placement...
So I'm looking at eventually doing all the chassis/suspension goodies for my valiant. I've been fabricating for a long time and have done a lot of motorcycle work. So, I'm interested in taking the routes that cost more time and effort than money, where I can. I'll be fabricating the rear...
I'm new to the 4 wheel version of custom building so this is a purely hypothetical question... what are the cornering characteristics of air ride suspension systems, if properly tuned? From what I've found so far it seems like a pretty charged subject. Most of the "pro" opinions come from people...
I'm trying to find frame dimensions for a 68 valiant. Would those be in a service manual? and would that frame have been used across years and/or models so I might not have to hunt down a 68 Valiant manual specifically? And fantastic job getting all of those manuals here to begin with! Thanks!
Title says it all. Just rescued an old decrepit Plymouth and the only part she doesn't have is the filler panel/valance between the grill and the bumper. Thanks!
Just started in on a 68 valiant that had just been sitting and deteriorating since the early 80's. The whole interior is sun beaten dust. I'm working in a dirt driveway and it's 100 everyday. I sweat through a shirt just getting my tools out. The dust and dirt just sticks to me. Low 90's would...
I was going to try this stuff on my build. This was the first alternative I ever heard to dynamat years ago.

Hey Daniel. Sorry for the mislead there. Our internet has been out and I'm doing everything over my phone. I'm the guy with the 69 lower grill piece. I'd take $40 plus shipping for it. It's a little odd sized but I think it could safely ship in an oversized cardboard tube or something. Maybe...
The fella I bought the car from gave me every Chrysler bit he had... Vehicle appropriate or not. Had my hopes up for about an hour when I got it. Haha! The 69 filler panel is available. I'll post it in "for sale". Thanks for the response so far!
I've used the search function to no avail. I'm not even sure I have the proper name for the piece I need. It's circled in the stock photo. I have that piece from a 69 available if anyone is in need. Is there any source for stuff like this, or is anyone here holding? Thanks!
EDIT: Here's the...
The car was parked at 34k miles. The engine runs great!! Everything else has just corroded. I have fender, bumpers, and a fair amount of other bits. Just want her to see the road again ASAP. Then the goal is to upgrade systems one at a time.
Finally got out of creeper mode and joined the forum. I've been in the process of buying this 68 Valiant from an old yard here in town. There was a lot of getting to know the owner of the property/car and then getting the car in condition to be moved. Will be bringing it home tomorrow. I've been...
