    Another ammeter bypass question

Good tip, I actually just finished and was able to get the car started again. So seemed to fix my issue. I used the fusible wire link for the alt wire to ign relay. So you suggest switching that to an actual in line fuse?

    Another ammeter bypass question

Great question, the fusible link went because I did something stupid, caught that. Well I was going in to replace it I started tracing wires and found all the damaged wires and melt damage at the bulk head from the other wires. Looks to be old as far I can tell. I also had a bounce on the...

    Another ammeter bypass question

For sure crackedback has some great looking harnesses. I’m in Canada so it’s already hard enough to get anything from the states without it also being way more expensive. That said I was looking for a quick fix with what I have in the garage which is why the mad solution looked to be my best...

    wheel spacers

Digging up an old one here. What lug nuts are you using on the ez accessory adapters? I have the same ones for the rear but the stock lugs, not being bulge style, dig into the spacer with the corners of the hex. I picked up bulge style but now they sit too high, above the 1” adapter.

1966 valiant rim width with spacers

Ya no comment on the axel re drill. That’s not happening. Also how on earth could that be less work then turning down the adaptor! Crazy. Anyways bright side is I shouldn’t have been measuring after a few beers. I have more space then I thought once I got everything together again today. I’ll...

1966 valiant rim width with spacers

Looks like, with the spacers, I’m stuck no matter the rim size to an offset that only leaves 1.5” on the front. I am a machinist by trade so I could turn the spacers down a bit and trim the stock studs. Trying to make it easy but like everything on this car it’s harder than it should be!

1966 valiant rim width with spacers

I agree with the above, I was being conservative in my measurements but I didn’t want to get trapped. I had also measured to the leaf strap in case it interferes with the wheel. That ate up about 1/4” or more, I had found some 7” wheels with 6” backspace but again yes tight, I can trim the...

1966 valiant rim width with spacers

Nope I think you nailed it :( Going down to 7” is fine if it means no mini tub or leaf relocation. So 7” with 5.5” backspace could work?
