    MAGNUM PAN ON LA ENGINE

The LA truck pan will not fit in the car chassis, the Magnum does.

    MAGNUM PAN ON LA ENGINE

Using a 360, the Magnum pan uses the 360 sized end seals. The Magnum 5.2 also uses the 360 end seals.

    MAGNUM PAN ON LA ENGINE

I'm having a problem with the 1-piece Magnum oil pan gasket sealing to the timing cover. I could fill the void with silicone sealer, I try to use as little as needed. We run a Magnum truck pan "rear sump" on a stock eliminator car. It doesn't seem to have enough crush to seal, the back seals...

    Glidden Arrow

I'm suprised that Chrysler didn't get much R&D from this deal.

    Glidden Arrow

Well, he didn't seem to have too much trouble with this one. The reason he dropped the MoPar deal was because Chrysler was broke & trying to borrow money from the government. He had a new Volare being built at the time for the 1980 season, until the cash was cut off.

    Race engine winter storage question

I got my engine back from the machine shop. All bare metal, sprayed the cylinders & deck surfaces down with Foggit Covered the block on the stand. Ended up having some emergency surgery. 2 months later, no rust at all. Works on guns also. I spray all my engine down with it. Great product!

I’m guessing this is to slow the Mopars down

This is for the X class. These cars only have a chassis certified to 7.50. The rule change was implemented to keep them from going quicker than 7.50. Chevys got hit this week after Dallas. My opinion is that it should have been done across the board for every manufacture at the same time. NHRA...

    Disappointing dyno results

I would check the basics. Leakdown & do a cranking compression test. those two test will give you cylinder & valve condition .

Pro Stock. The good old days

Wayne county Daytona was one of the most torn down pro stocks to ever run. NHRA seen to it. If there was NOS, NHRA would have been guilty for covering it up as well.

    340 stroker 422

Send it, you can get away with that compression by using aluminum heads. I built a zero deck 360, .027 Cometic head gskt & eddy heads, ran it at 32 degrees total timing. No problem running on pump 91 octane premium. Had it in a Dart Sport, ran 11.30's.

Any one interested in the oiling mods I did?

Question, if the right lifter galley is tubed & #1 main is blocked off, how does #1 main get oil? I had a used 414 engine that had been tubed & running solid roller lifters. It didn't have a crossover tube in it.

    360 OILING

75PSI cold , 65PSI hot at idle, 70PSI at the stripe. 10W30 oil Valvoline race, Royal Purple 10/30 after break in. The Race block has the bigger oil passages. I have built a lot of bracket engines with no bearing issues, this one is kicking my butt & wallet.
