In reference to exhaust manifold with casting number 4006741.
Chrysler parts catalog number is 4006740.
Left 318 exhaust manifold for 70- 71 Abodies is 2951124 which supersedes to 4006471.
Superseded number may fit 72-74 Abodies with 318 engine but can't find any Chrysler documentation to that...
Interesting discussion so lets continue.
It's true that National made the seals for Chrysler.
The 904's from 1960 till 1965 had no dust boot.
Let's start with what was available from the Chrysler dealer.
If you purchased seal number 2400163 from the dealer from 66 thru 72, it came with a boot...
This is really of little importance but the Transtar transmission catalog shows 12925B as 1966-1972: 2.254" OD. with dust boot.
Evan Dutch can ignore the following statement because it relates to the larger seal that was used on 904's starting in 1973.
Chrysler part number 3515384 with dust boot...
Question for transman.
All of the seals listed in post 11 have a 2.254 od with dust boot.
Do you have a part number for that od seal without dust boot?
They may exist but have never seen one.
If it is a 1971 904 then it's any of these numbers.
Just depends on what brand seal you want.
Chrysler #2400163
Timken # 8935s
National # 8935s
SKF #15535
The PK number on the left side of the transmission would tell if it is a 1971.
These seals can be found from many vendors including eBay and...
Adding a little more info about you're wiring.
The ignition switch wiring under the dash has two separate connectors.
The red and black wires have their own plastic connector.
According to the factory wiring diagram one black wire with white strip and one red wire with white strip go to the...
The rod you want is the same for 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder Abodies from 1974 thru 1976.
Chrysler calls it a front column shift control rod for automatic transmissions.
Chrysler part number: 3575361
A few comments about using special tool.
If you search eBay for this tool, then you will find over 50 listings.
Search terms: Chrysler shifter seal removal tool.
Problem with using the tool on Abodies is lack of room.
Not going to list everything that needs to be removed to have enough room to...
The Chrysler number is 2539127.
If you order the bushings from spring companies like Eaton, ESPO,etc. use number RB109.
Specifications for these bushing can be found on the internet by searching these numbers.
Looks like you sort of got a answer to your question on another forum.
The seat belt interlock system was not used in 1976.
What you have is a seat belt buzzer which also controls the seat belt warning light.
That particular design was only used in 76 for the Abodies.
It was also used on some...
Number was stenciled on fan clutch when new but usually faded away after a couple of years.
You would probably need to have both fan blades to know the difference.
3462149 used fan blades are not that hard to find.

Chrysler made a egr block off plate for the slant six intake manifold.
It was a 2 hole plate used along with a egr gasket to replace the egr valve.
Block off plate part number was 3671447.
That number was discontinued by Chrysler many years ago.
The upper 3rd hole in the intake manifold was for...
3/8 center stud first appeared in the 1973 Chrysler parts catalog part number 152568.
Exhaust and intake manifolds changed in 73 to accommodate the newer size fastener.
This was covered by Doc (Doug Dutra) way back in January 2010 over at Slantsix.org
Chrysler was having problems with the thin...
The question was related to the three fasteners that hold the intake to the exhaust manifold.
The center fastener on the exhaust manifold was a 5/16 bolt on the 1972 and earlier years.
1973 and latter used a 3/8 stud in that location.
Just curious about which exhaust manifold was being used.
The...
Question for Rusty:
The exhaust manifolds from the mid 70's and latter used thicker triangle washers and slightly longer studs.
Would you want to use some of the thin and thick triangle washers on the same manifold?
The vacuum circuit diagram on page 24-44 in the 1973 service manual is identical to the 1974 service manual.
Both years have the same vacuum hose harness and the three vacuum actuators under the dash.
Don't know how that's going to work on a 73 Duster.
3799024 motor fits 75-77 Fury, Coronet and Cordoba.
They have different pivots, linkages and switch.
Best to get complete 3 speed setup from 73 thru 76 Abodies.
