Of choking out the engine? If you were asking me. The plugs were fouling and when I took off the air cleaner it ran much better and the plugs are burning correctly. Ran with it off.

The air cleaner is chocking out the engine. I saw I am missing the ring that goes between the carb and the air cleaner. See the pic. Will this solve the problem? Thanks for the insight.

My carb doesn't come off full choke after starting. Also,.would like to adjust choke after starting. Any instructions would be much appreciated.

Tried the treatment. After running 20 miles it fowled the plugs. Pulled them and they were covered with chunks little of oil and oil. Replacing the plugs. Definitely loosened something up. Should I just run or try another treatment?

I am running an oil treatment currently. Would you recommend an oil change before adding seafoam?

My mechanic said their is a sensor under the manifold on the block that operated the choke for cold starts?

I will give it a shot thanks. Cold starts are an issue due to a bad sensor. After warm runs excellent and starts easily.

What do you think?

Slant 6, Castrol GTX high mileage 10w40, supposedly 63k, purchased in the summer, did sit for a bit without use, original engine, have not completed a compression test yet.

Took a 30 mile drive last weekend and smoked a ton. Under acceleration and just driving. Used a quart of oil. Then yesterday a short drive and minimum smoke after warm up. Am I missing anything or is the blow by enough indication that a rebuild is necessary?

Probably need to either rebuild or replace my 225 Slant 6. Too much blow by. Anyone have thoughts or experience with which way to go? Any recommendations of how to source an engine would be appreciated. Thank you

It look like the starter isn't sliding in enough. Chips off the front teeth of the starter and the front of the flywheel. Thought it wasn't pushing in enough but I am a novice. What do you think?

Installed a starter a few months ago, many starts and worked great. Now the starter will not engage and just spins. Check to see if it.was secure to the engine and it was. Didn't come loose. Pulled it out bench tested and seemed to work like it should. Gear moved out as to engage. Included...

Thanks for the guidance. The fuel gauge is correct. The gauge is pegging it is reading high. Does go up slowly then reads high.
