Best way to temporarily block off heater hoses?

That's what I would normally do, but on a slant you need a 4 or 5 foot length of hose to loop it around without to aviod the hose folding in the middle. If there isn't much pressure going thru the hoses I will totally do that, but I'd like to make sure first. I've had a hose or two explode...

Best way to temporarily block off heater hoses?

I also thought about an inline valve, but I'm not sure which hose flows to the core and which is the return.

Best way to temporarily block off heater hoses?

Ever since I've owned my Valiant the windows seem to fog up or get filmy overnight. The previous owner had the same problem but didn't even try to figure it out. It's more than just dirty windows, more like an oily film, so the first thing I think is heater core, however it isn't steaming, no...

9th Annual UPS Car Classic, Metro DC Area

I wouldn't mind making this if I can get rid of the driveline vibration in the Valiant before then.

    Adam 12

Love Adam-12! Used to watch it on TV land in the mid/late 90's then it went away. Was really excited when I found it on hulu and my girlfriend bought me Season 1 on DVD for my birthday, she's hooked on it now too.

    Cool '69 Dart I saw

I took the Valiant to a local cruise in last Friday night and parked between this and a Viper GTS. The Dart was just too cool not to take a few pics with the phone to share with you guys. Sounded pretty healthy when it left. It's funny, I was pretty satisfied with my slant when we arrived...

    cowl panel

dropping the heater box under the dash is really the only way. You can get a shop vac hose in there and get the big stuff. It's a real PITA, I really wish our cowls were removable, at least like the e-bodies and '71+ B bodies.

    PHOTOS OF YOUR 1st MOPAR

My first was a '69 Coronet 440, bought it in 1997 at the age of 14. Detailed cars all summer to buy it; paid $600 for it, was a running/driving car, only thing wrong with it was a blown heater core. I miss it a lot. This pic is from around '00-'01, maybe a year before I sold it to buy a Charger...

    I need a trunk mat !

I can't imagine why they would be different. I too am/was looking for a Valiant trunk mat, thank you 6pk2goDemon for posting that P/N. I'll have to check to make sure that is a rubber mat, I bought one of the vinyl reproductions once for my Coronet and all it did was slide around the trunk.

    Dual one barrel intake.

The dual one barrel intake is awesome, I had one on my '63 Convertible. I think they look really cool and they sure as heck shock everyone when you open the hood. $200 isn't a bad price for the whole deal. You can still buy the intake new.; with linkage it runs right around $400...

    seat belts?

there is also a company making seats for street rods that have shoulder belts made into the seats. I can't remember the company name, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Edit: I think it was these guys, but it could've been someone else. http://www.wiseguys-seats.com/

    Brake Light Activator Sticking

Ugh, sorry you didn't catch it sooner before your lenses were toast. I just went thru this a few weeks back myself, had someone yell something that sounded like "Fix your f***in' brake lights!" while I was riding around. Pulled over and sure enough, the lights were stuck on. Turns out my...

[FOR SALE] Ask and you shall recieve! (Flip Top Gas cap Adapter)

I have a friend with a '75 Dart, I'll try to catch up with him this week and measure it and the Valiant side by side to see how much difference there is. The locking tabs shouldn't matter here since the flip top cap is a press seal.

[FOR SALE] Ask and you shall recieve! (Flip Top Gas cap Adapter)

'63-'66 Valiant/Barracuda will be the same and honestly from looking at the two, I don't think there will be any difference between them and what you would need for a '63-'66 Dart. Truth be told, I don't see why this won't work on an early-a as is. It's been a few years since I've had anything...

My '63 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto

You're right, it goes to the crusher tomorrow....... What a douche. :thebirdm: You've apparently never dealt an east coast car before, so STFU, it really isn't that bad. Let's see, other than light surface rust which sands off pretty damn easy, floors are rust free now and barring a few...

My '63 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto

I'm sure he finds it less fun than I do, but he's the one that bought a welder... he had to know this was what was going to happen. :D Really though, he and my mom split up when I was about a year or two old, after that he was always on the road and I only got to see him 2-3 times a year...

My '63 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto

Ok, update time! We have a big cruise/cruise in here every year before the fourth of July, so I wanted to get the car ready because it's this Friday. I managed to get plates welded in around all the seat mounting holes, they were the inner holes (beside the hump) on both sides were about the...

    65-66 Early-A,s popping out everywhere!!

No joke. I got into mopars when everything but e-bodys were "grandma cars" and even then people would take a Camaro over a Challenger. I'd rather go back to the days of being made fun of for being into mopars than the way it is now. The A's, especially the early A's were safe for a while, but...
