Not too bad, some parts are harder to find than others, but that is to be expected with 50+ year old cars. There could be some goop or crud in the pan that slowly makes it's to the pickup while running, then when the engine is off for a good amount of time the crud or goop floats away or sinks.

3 filters in 3 months! I try to stretch my filters to 3 years lol. Don't USE SOLVENTS ON FILTERS they can be corrosive and eat away material. Reusable filters usually can be cleaned out with dish soap or laundry detergent along with water.
