alternatives to an 8.75- what about an explorer 8.8?

anyone use an 8.8" rear end out of a ford explorer? they came with discs, and i would assume they're a similar width, they're also 5 on 4.5 so it'd be a great way of keeping the same bolt pattern front and back. i would love some more in depth info if anyone has some. thanks!

ok, this is what i have come up with as a good budget build for my car.

so, i have done research, i have made calculations on my own, i have talked to racers/builders, and this has what i have in mind for my scamp. this will be "stage 1," so to speak. i want to start off with a 360. the best one i think would be one of the 74-75 4bbl 360s, since they have a...

well, i planned it all out exactly what i am thinking, and i have thought about it, and there is going to be a few dimensions that are different for everybody. these measurements may not even be right for me, they are just rough estimates.- i will mark these with a "*."it doesn't HAVE to be all...

    Happster's '72 scamp build!

well folks, i thought i might as well start early and make a thread. i'll get photos up in a bit. the scamp is a '72 with a 318 hooked up to a 904, and a 7 1/4 rear. it is almost completely original, besides getting a new vinyl top due to a torn up old one and some seat covers. i put 360 heads...
