    Thanks! Turns out that the K-frame in there now is bent a little. (it came out of my '75 that was wrecked) It didn't become apparent until I tried to fit a large-tube header in there that was SUPPOSED to fit.

    Yeah, they are. Don't forget, he's already cut his rear 2" on each side. If he hadn't, I'd have said 6.5" backspacing. I was thinking about before, when I had mine WITHOUT the springs moved in. Now, I have 6.5" backspacing. Sorry I wasn't too clear.

    Exactly. 340's ONLY came with 727's and 360's came either way.

    Yes, you can. I had a 325/50x15 on a 15x10 wheel under my car. The only thing I had different was a 4-1/2" backspacing.

    setting float level Holley carb

    With the bowl off the carb, I set the float parallel to the top of the bowl while holding it upside down. Then I go a full turn IN to lower the float. Once on the car, I turn on the electric pump and raise it slowly until it's at the bottom of the site-plug.

    My new TTI headers and X-pipe will be in by next week and my upgrade to the W2 heads will be much closer to completion. I still have to swap K-frames and put in the new torsion bars, but that's not too much work. I'll try to keep you guys posted. Should be knocking on 9's when I get it back...

    Well.....it's official.....

    Don't know if I'll do that just yet. I think I'm gonna fix the valve and switch back to 1.5 rockers on the exhaust. Way cheaper that way. I don't think it'll fall off any on performance. If it does, it shouldn't be much. It's been running too good to go through any major upgrades right now...

    I hurt it. Yesterday in my one and only qualifying pass at the Clobberthon at Houston Raceway Park I bent an exhaust valve. I would have been right on the mark with what I did to slow the car down a little so I could run the 7.0 Real Street class. I went a 7.006 in the 1/8th. Perfect, up...
