[SOLD] Great condition EDELBROCK 1405 600cfm AFB manual choke

Edelbrock #1405, manual choke model 600cfm AFB. Still have the box and instruction manual. Bought this carb new a couple years ago on Summit for over $300 and used it for rebuilt engine break-in plus maybe 500 miles. Then switched to an AFV, so time to sell this one. Only thing is, the fuel...

[FOR SALE] Dart front and rear emblem 71

Odd. I've only ever seen it on 1970 cars unless put there by the owner. Maybe some dealers used those in 71? someone with more history on it can answer?

    Venting

So first off, your vent line is 5/16", not 1/4". Mopar didn't switch to 1/4" vent line until 1972. Assuming you have a stock tank and fuel setup your best bet is to leave it vented to atmosphere. Put a small filter at the end to keep crap from getting into it. It's so far from the fuel tank that...

[SOLD] 71 Dart Swinger, 360, very good condition

Selling my pride a joy! Originally a slant 6 car it has a 360 LA and 727 now. Schumacher motor mounts for the swap. Car is a very well taken care of almost entirely rust-free California car. Spent time in the PNW (Portland/Vancouver) area for several years but was always garaged. Had it for 16...

    New fuel sending unit

Make sure the pickup tube reaches all the way to the bottom of the tank also. Chances are you'll have to bend it down a lot.

    Replaced gas tank, won't start!

That's a common story with aftermarket sending units. Good decision to put the original back in -- unless you have a need for an aftermarket sending unit such as larger fuel lines or fuel return built into the sending unit, its best to stick with OEM. Several places can rebuild them if needed...

    led tailight bulbs

That flasher did not work for me. I was the one who informed Dan of that and tried out the one he linked above which works great and you can set the polarity with the adapter

I followed @slantsixdan 's advice on this. Here's what he recommended I use for rear brake lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HWS7XGW/?tag=2402507-20

Why isn’t fuel going to the carb?

There's another post about this as well. Are you using an aftermarket sending unit? If so, while the tank was out, did you look through the filler neck hole to see if the pickup tube on the sending unit is reaching all the way to the bottom of the tank?

    Replaced gas tank, won't start!

Even if the pickup tube location isn't the problem, are you aware of the drawbacks of aftermarket sending units vs original?

Aftermarket sending unit I assume? If so, while the tank was out, did you look through the filler neck hole and see if it was reaching all the way to the bottom of the tank?

    diesel oil alternative?

Exactly, Shell Rotella walmart stuff that was great for years has reduced Zinc levels and isn't a good option Shell Rotella T1 is only available in straight weights, sadly Where? Online it says its only straight grade. I've only ever seen T1 in straight weight.

Shell Rotella lowered their zinc levels significantly a few years ago and it's not a great option anymore.

    Conversion to manual steering

I've always had to change the pitman arm when doing that. Maybe some fit both so wait for others to comment. You can use that adapter but you can also punch out those plastic inserts in the steering column as they're only used for assembly. You can then pull the column down a couple inches...

What tank/filler/vent do I want on my 71 Demon 3G Hemi swap

#1 choice for your setup is an aftermarket fuel tank if you have the $$$ Do not bother with the 4-vent 70-71 style, it's a waste of time and money For stock tank, if you go that route, go with 72+

    Retro sound radio

I have the basic model (AM/FM radio with an aux input). It was a fairly easy install since everything is adjustable. It took some playing around with it to get it right, such as not having the knobs stick out too far. The knob shafts are sensitive so do not over-tighten them or else the...
