    SFI 25.5 Roll Cage Help

I don't have the 25.5c specs in front of me but at a minimum a rocker bar is required if the floor has been removed on any uni-body type car with a cage. I would put rocker bars on both sides of the car. The dash bar size is different depending on how your a pillar bars are bent. If the a pillar...

    new car on the jig

When I started this project my goal was to renew my license, get a grade point at a division race and get back on the national event circuit as early in the season as possible. For me it meant I had to make the division 1 race at VMSP this past weekend. well we made it. There are still some...

    new car on the jig

Thanks for the compliments! I do chassis work on the side to support my racing. I'm using the 1.76 low in the trans. Haven't decided on rear gear yet. If under 2400# I'll go with 4.11, over 2400 4.30. Hoping for 8.0's , depends on the weight.

    new car on the jig

Mean Green you are right you can make it removeable to take it out the bottom. For me it is more trouble to jack the car up high enough to get it out the bottom than it is to hand it out the door. Hyper Pak yes I did rework Wills car quite a few years ago. On my car finishing a few details...

    new car on the jig

The dart is actually being built to run super gas/super comp and possibly top sportsman. Not really the best super class/bracket type car as visibility is poor.

    new car on the jig

The front end and hood came from VFN. They were the only ones with a 68. I got the rest of the components from Glasstek (doors, trunklid, bumper, dash and scoop). Glasstek only has a 69 nose.

    new car on the jig

Trimmed a few unnecessary things off the body in prepartation to mount the front suspension. Did quick trial fit of the front end to make sure the wheel/tire will end up where it is supposed to and the proceeded to mount the struts, radiator, trans cooler and prep for motor plate.

    new car on the jig

I'm in Suffolk Va. There are a couple reasons for not using the double frame rail design. I feel they are for cars with a lot more hp, 1500+. They are hard to work aroung inside the car. The transmission in this type of chassis has to be removed from inside the car and handed out the passenger...

Which way should I go with pinion angle ??????????????????????

I have to comment on this one. Pinion angle is a relationship between the driveshaft and the rear axle, period. The driveshaft has be in the car to check pinion angle. All these references to the ground are confusing things. You could check pinion angle with the car standing on the back bumper if...
