    Ford 8.8 Swap

No. The Explorer 8.8" would be better. They are the same width, same bolt pattern, etc. Spring perches are on top on the Ranger model. Underneath on the Explorer. But that doesn't matter, since they'd have to be removed anyhow. The Ranger axles didn't come with disc brakes. And, as I...

    Any Idea what this is?

The floors and walls of your garage remind me of a hospital. Only clean!

    Ford 8.8 Swap

Aside from shortening the axle tube on the 8.8", swapping axles is very easy. I've never done it for an A-body, but me and some buddies have put full-size axles under Jeeps, Rangers, Suzuki Samurais etc. The 8.8" is a good axle stock. It's used in everything from Mustangs to F150s. Just a...

Lowest Fuel Price you have ever paid?

In 2001, in south texas, I paid $0.39/gallon because of a local gas war between 2 stations. Average price around there was about $0.89/gallon at the time..

    New guy with no car

Thanks for the welcome! I've got my eye on a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger for $900 right now, that has a /6 and an auto in it. Guy will also through in a 360 and the k-frame for the 360 for not too much more. Hopefully, I'll be pickin' up that car VERY soon!

Unfortunately, I'm currently at work in Charleston, SC. But I'm bookmarking that site to check up on it more often, when I get back home. I hang out with a lot of people from San Marcos, at Cowboys Dancehall, in San Antonio.

Howdy! I'm Brandon. I live just outside of San Antonio, TX. I'm an eddy current and ultrasonic thickness testing technician. I work in nuclear power plants and on ships. I currently don't have an A-body, or any MOPAR for that matter. I'm lookin' into pickin' up a 1971ish Dart in the next...

Any of you guys live around S.A.? I live an hour south of there, and at some point would like to get together with a couple other people from the forum. Say hi, maybe check out your ride, etc. I'm lookin' at pickin' up a Dart project pretty soon, and I like to check out rides in person to get...

Do you use gasket sealer on an 8 3/4?

I usually just use the RTV of your color choice. I like the red. I rarely use the actual gasket.

    Firewall Feed-Thru Insulator

Good reasoning, I suppose. I guess it depends on if you are happy with the look of the PVC or not. Since you are gonna stick with the PVC, It might be a good idea to bevel the inside edge of the pipe with a pocket knife or small file. Just to make sure there isn't a sharp edge to possibly...

    Dr said its time.

I'm only 23, but I've already had multiple spots, moles, etc removed, just to be safe. Seven or eight of them. Skin cancer runs in my family, so I'm REALLY cautious on the whole deal. They've used a laser, to cut them off, they've burned them off, and on the four or five of them, they...

Is there any reason why you wouldn't just use the aluminum, then a rubber grommet from the HELP! section at autozone?
