That's one of the best ways my friend. You could weld a washer to the outside of the bushing and bash it through, or use a slide hammer to pop it out. I brought mine to a shop, and the old man took a torch to it, and melted my Torsion rod Key... so be careful.

No dice here on a 73 duster 340.

I'm about to re-install the whole front suspension and I'm under the impression that to install them correctly, you just drop the LCA's as far as they'll go and stab the T-bar through. Once you put it down on the ground, I think that should cover your pre-load problems.... I hope, (or I'll be...

Holy crap man. I just checked my 340, that I just got out of the shop and that plug wasn't installed. That brings the total screw-ups on my engine to 4!!! Woo!!! P.S. Thanks for that link fourspeed.

for the 73 duster you have to remove the lca's to change the strut rod bushings. Good luck Happy thanksgiving!

Drop it off at a shop and have them build it. At least you can point the finger at someone else if the engine blows. Also you can get a warranty at most shops so if the engine fails, just get a new one. :P

i pulled my 340/727 out on the 1/4ton setting. Also, it hung there all night long without any problems. That DOES NOT MEAN you should let the engine hang any longer than it has to. Grab a used tire and aim the oil pan right in the middle of the tire and you're good to go.

I know the swaybar links MUST go from bottom to top on my 73 duster with moog parts.

I got off the phone with Mancini, and I think I have it. The man on the phone had mentioned maybe the previous owner just changed one pivot shaft, that's why i have one of each. He suggested the pivot shaft with the ball type end, since the Super Kit they offer, has 2 Rubber LCA bushings. If...

I checked out that link, but only the first page will pull up, the last two said article cannot be found. Both ball, and flat ended pivots rods are almost identicle in length. So, maybe it wouldn't even matter. I'll do some measuring and see if I can figure it out. If worse comes to worse...

I just picked the lca's up from the shop and got them home. I knocked out the strut rods, and took out the lca pivot rods. I see the original lca bushing, I believe it's rubber, and the Mancini kit I bought (the plus size one) has two RUBBER LCA bushings because they didn't supply polys...

Yeah sorry guys, I edited my post. I meant to say LCA pivot bushings. I was trying to imagine the piece (which is not on hand) and I put the wrong part down. I was outside, and just realized it. I flew in here to edit, but you had already replied!!
