    Big block port layout

from the port size it looks like it will be for a B1 MO head. Sad part is the width of the port will not allow it to be used on anything else.

Big bearing 9". 5 by 5.50 bolt pattern, wheels?

how much power? I would not buy cheap axles. I would also not buy 5.50 because most people run 5.0 and selling them may be hard.

VFN fiberglass one piece front end?

i have had great luck with their quality. I will be getting that same piece soon because they are the only ones that make it. I like how the molded most of the grill and that it is for a 67,68 and not just for a 69 like others

take a wire wheel and clean the area to really see what you have and re post pics. With the rust on it its hard to tell and you still dont have a clear picture of how bad it is. If it is real bad I would replace it with a clip from a donor or.....Seriously look into a front clip with a mustang...

no you dont want to cut into the front frame rails. they are two piece ( a bent channel and a pop riveted top) there is no boxing needed. You run your sub frame from the back clip to the front

just run front bars. they run from the front of the cage (by the dash bar) to the top of the frame. have them tie into what ever you plan to run shock or strut tower wise and you are done. then if you want to add the inner finders back it you can reuse them, make new ones, or not run them

if it was mine and i was going to do a frame drag only car i would remove the floor and everything circled in red. Use a strut or a-arm front end and junk the rest. Maybe save the stuff in green but only for reference or to make new pieces.

Want to see pictures of your full tubbed or backhalfed a body

I would not reuse the stock rails. Buy an premade frame. Don't buy the cheap coil overs that are a shock with springs slid over them. spend the extra money and get a four link not the ladder bars, and get the housing back braced now.

    Aluminum door hinges

I dont think you need a spring for fiberglass doors. They are so light and fragile i wouldnt want springs on them. I have mine on stock hinges with a roll pin and it works ok but i will be changing it to a lift off style soon.

. The rule is great if the cars all well matched and the tree is super close but anything over a half a second and you can see the red light and just leave later. Advantage still goes to the faster car. I would be more for a standard tree for the slow car and a pro or modified tree from the...

    SFI 25.5 Roll Cage Help

Thank you for you guy's input. I have been dissecting the "book" and I think I got it now. Biggest issue I see is my ladder bar cross member is way further forward than a 4 link would be and I won't upset its mount in the rocker. My cage currently sits on a 12" x 12" plate linked to another 2x3...

Ok i finally broke down and ordered my SFI 25.5C booklet for my new cage and man people were not kidding about the book being confusing and not very helpful (other than the funny car cage). I am looking for input. Question : Can i use the stock door sill structure to attach my forward and...

Great information! I didn't know small blocks were dried up. That's a sad thing. I guess staying with a bb is my best option. Thanks for all the great input.

i heard gen 3 heads are ok but lift issues and the blocks are weak. I know very little about sb so thats why i was asking. why is a r3 hard to find? summit and jegs has them and they are half the price of an aluminum bb that---btw that opens other more expensive doors

thanks rumble thats what i wanted to know. I was wondering because a stock 400 block will only take so much hp. Would something like a r3 take more? Both BB and SB heads seam to flow close until you get to 4.5 bore BB stuff and then your into another block any way. Plus the cubes are close at...

Building a stupid street car. I currently have the car mocked up for a 400 bb with middle of the road heads, medium sized procharger, and lenco four speed.
