    I had a distributor years ago that oil would make its way up the shaft and drip out of the vent holes on the bottom of the housing. Something else to look at prior to removing the manifold.

    Also as I just went through a similar problem, in my case the intake manifold gaskets were allowing oil from the lifter valley to get sucked into some of the intake ports. Would lightly smoke at warm idle and upon initial startup Similar to valve seals.

    Try installing the Edelbrock manifold used with the ProFlo4 EFI, major interference with the aluminum valve covers compared to the other manifolds I’ve used.

    If you’re going EFI the do it right and get a multiport setup and ditch the wet manifold. As stated above also do it correctly and put the fuel pump in the tank. And also as stated above, plan on another $1K in a fuel system.
