Yes get a low gear set for the trans and 3500 to 4000 stall converter. Thats a good starting point.But you will need some slicks and 4.56s

Car ran 5.90s at Rockingham. Had lots of wind and dust on track .Will think it can pickup more .Belt drive worked very good But we had a few problems .Johnny did a good job of driving ,He had two .005 lights and some 1.30 short times .He mad 4 rounds!!!

I think a 6AL will help you some I have not had as much luck as you are with orange box .Car look strong !And dad can drive it too.
