Headers for a original 1974 dodge dart 360 sport 4 speed

I have no issues with my mini starter. I can actually pull it off and put it on without touching any bolts on the headers. Here's a couple of pics too

Headers for a original 1974 dodge dart 360 sport 4 speed

They fit a 74 just fine. I have them on my 74 Duster 360, though it's an auto, not 4 speed. Fit much better than the generic stuff.

26 inch radiator in a duster?

Sorry for the delay in getting you the dimensions. It is 26.25" wide and 23.5" tall on the tanks. If you include the filler neck it is 24.25" tall total. It bolts in perfect, it's just too tall for an a-body...

26 inch radiator in a duster?

I'll pull the aluminum radiator out of the garage and measure it exactly for you tomorrow. It was about an 1" too high. I guess I could cut the filler neck off and MIG it closed, then use a filler in the upper hose. It just seems like too much work considering it's just a for fun street car!

26 inch radiator in a duster?

Sorry guys but he asked about a specific aluminum radiator...it will not fit! I know, I own one. The original radiator is NOT a 26" like the b-bodies. As you say the original, also in mine, is actually a 25 5/8" wide and a little shorter. You can get an aftermarket crossflow radiator that is...

26 inch radiator in a duster?

NO that radiator won't fit without cutting the bottom of the core support. It is too tall. Ask me how I know. I have one for a small block and I can't close the hood when it is in place and I'm not willing to cut mine up. It will also leave the bottom of the radiator exposed to road debris...

    Forged 273 crank in a 340 block

It'll work just fine. Both internally balanced. Just have the new rods and pistons balanced to the crank.

    Horsepower guess?

The stock pistons will be waaay down the hole. Even with magnum heads you will be lucky to get 8.5 to 1 compression. For a cam I would thick long and hard about the XE262 Comp Cams. Lots of low end, decent lift with the 1.6 rockers and vacuum to run power brakes. It will definitely work with...

    Thinking of exhaust mod

I had headers and true 2.5" duals out the back with Dynomax Ultra Flow mufflers. It was so loud at even cruise you had a hard time carrying out a conversation. I had an H-pipe installed (cost me less then $20) and it was night and day difference. It is still plenty loud especially when you...

    73 dart a/c heater hose?

My 74 Duster has 5/8" one side and 1/2" to the heater control valve and 1/2" from valve to manifold.

Dougs installation problems on '74 Duster

How are your motor mounts? Just for reference my engine my crank center-line to k-frame is ~5.5" and the engine is offset ~2" closer to the passenger side frame rail then the drivers. These measurements should tell you where yours is compared to mine. Another thing I did to gain a little more...

Headers for 74 Dart Swinger 318

I've got a set of Thorley's that are over chassis for sale. 1-5/8 primaries, but 2.5" collector. They fit, but were pretty tight around the power steering. I guess I should say almost fit as after I got them in there wasn't enough clearance for the starter with a 727. They were made for the...

Headers for 74 Dart Swinger 318

I've tried the cheapies, actually they weren't that cheap as I got the ceramic coated Dynomax. Just like all the other cheap headers you have tubes going above and below the steering. They didn't fit that well and the a couple of tubes were smashed pretty good in a short amount of time. I...

Dougs installation problems on '74 Duster

It's actually about $150 (430 uncoated vs. 580 coated). Obviously I did. I left the bubble wrap on them when I installed them to minimize the scratching, but I did end up with a couple. They were a lot easier to get in then it was to get the old ones out.

Dougs installation problems on '74 Duster

I just finished installing the Doug's D-453's on my '74 Duster w/ power steering and a stock type Milodon Pan. Fit is awesome. Wish I would have known about these the other two times I put headers on this car!

    74 Duster 360 found!!!...

I would say it's a pretty good deal. Big bolt pattern, V8 K frame. The 8.25 is original, but it will take a fair bit of abuse :snakeman:! Hope you get it and turn it into something nice...as was said above only 2400or so built, how many could possibly be left? Mines in my signature.

    Small Block Down Flow Radiator

I'm sure that's a nice piece, but just a bit out of my price league. I would like to keep it under $350...that $143 Summit piece is looking better all the time!

    Small Block Down Flow Radiator

Anyone know of a source for a small block (upper hose drivers side) 3 core or more copper or an aluminum 2 core radiator? I've check ebay, google search, etc. Someone has to have a source! If not I will probably order a Summit Cross flow....

    Thorley Headers

They are not Doug's headers. They are suppose to fit small block Mopars and possibly only b and e-bodies. I can't find any documentation on them. I'm still a little undecided as to whether I will use them as I would really like them ceramic coated (figure an extra $200+). Again they are...

    Thorley Headers

I bought a set of Doug Thorley Headers a few years back on E-bag. I need some help identifying if they will work on my Duster. The car is a 74 Duster 360, floor auto, E-heads, PS and PB. The headers came in a Doug Thorley box and the flanges have "52" stamped in them. They look very similar...
