This motor was run long enough for camshaft break-in and has under 20 street miles. All parts were new when assembled in 2015. It was just taken apart on 8-7-18 360 block bored .030" over, block was decked, squared, cylinders notched for rod clearance, new distributor gear bushing, cam bearings...

They didn't exactly come from the factory flat from one side to the other. Some of them varied .040". So I machined them flat and a little deeper so the domes would not hit, also due to the fact that the heads have been milled .060" or so which I've already mentioned. The piston domes were...

Here is a picture of the crank with how much main & rod bearings were turned along with crossover tube and priming the engine. I did take measurements on the head and looked like it was real close to .060" .

The heads were already milled when I got it so I'm guessing close to .060" was taken off. And you are correct on the rods and mains.

Can you post a picture of the intake manifold sitting on the motor with the gaskets installed so we can see how far off the alignment is through the bolt holes ?

If the gaskets were twice as thick and the holes line up it sounds like you need a thicker gasket. Then the intake manifold don't need machined. Does the intake holes sit higher than the holes in the heads when the gaskets are installed ?

How does it line up without the gaskets ?
