I got a 72 Duster that is missing the engine and tranny. It was originally a /6, auto car. It has Petty blue paint on it now with 340 stripes and dual scooped hood. Should be fun. I'll try to post some pics later on. I'm going to put Jim's 340 and a 4-speed in it.

Hey Steve, things are going good. Jim was out my way a couple of weeks ago and brought this 340 with him. I went and bought a new home for the 340 today. If nobody claims it soon I'll have it in the engine bay real soon.

Numbers matching just means all of the components that have a VIN on them have the same VIN on them. Those parts are the VIN tag, radiator support, trunk drip rail, cowl on some cars, engine and tranny. Mopars didn't start doing the engine and tranny until 1968.

Just thought I would throw this out there before I put this engine up for sale. I have this 340 engine sitting in the shop and hopefully I can match it up with the car it came out of. The engine has a cast date of 11/18/69 and the VIN above the oil pan rail is 0R191262. If you know where the car...
