Here are some pictures of the sun tach I installed in my dash

I put a Sun Super Tach II (2 5/8") in mine it fits perfect and looks good. I put it in from the front and made a bracket out of sheetmetal in the back. I will try and get pictures of it tomorrow and post them before I install the dash.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up, we live by the beach so thats to remind the wife and kids to rinse the sand out when they get home from the beach. I was tired of cleaning it out of the washer

Just got my dash back from Vic at VAE restorations and it looks great, he did a fantastic job. A real good guy to work with and I would definetly recommend him, and reasonable prices also.

One mistake I made with mine was I trimmed it to the size of the original that came out. Well the front and back pieces of the new stuff were different sizes than the original pieces. Dont trim anything until you lay them in first. I bought a cheap $7.00 soldering iron to burn holes for seats...

I seen a small sun tach in the center hole of a rally dash at a show (didnt see anybody around the car). Has anybody installed one? How much fabrication? I will be removing the dash bezel for painting soon so I want to put mine in there.

Tony did you paint the silver and black and they did the chrome? I just want to paint the bezel not do the gauges. who did the work?

Thinking of painting my dash bezel myself in my 68 barracuda (dont want to spend the money for after market or send out right now) has anybody tried it themselves using the chrome paint? Its a lot of detail masking off. If anybody has any pics of ones they've done themselves I like to see them
