same problem here, I HATE the seat belts. Always fight them, and was hoping there was a good cure rather than doing the lube, and know the fact they are finicky so pull them slowly. :(

I would like to know also, as I want my dash to be black (tan now) and have a black dash from another car, but don't want what sounds like a huge pain to pull the windshield to swap them. Seems like painting the dash in the car will be a pain, but less of a pain than dealing with the windshield...

Welcome to my world. Both do this on our dart. You have to try and pull slow and smooth and make a wide pull before trying to buckle it. They are the crappiest retractable seat belts I have ever used. They get so figgin frustrating :( I was hoping someone had a helpful response, digging this...
