I am planning to go. Let's pray for good weather. I have been there three times (first time was 2013), and it has rained every time. One time it stopped raining long enough that I went to the FABO area and got to meet a lot of nice people. I hope the weather is good this time.
BTW, I was super...
That's BS. I used to be into 63-67 Vettes big time. I did a cosmetic restoration on a 66 roadster and a frame off on a rough 65 factory AC roadster. I went to a big Corvette show once (probably about 1986) and Mr. Zora Arkus Duntov was signing Autographs AND casually chatting with people for...
We haven't been for a few years. We went 3 times (2012, 13 and 14 I think), and it rained every time. Not a complete rain cancelation, just enough rain to mess things up. I think it's time to try again. I did enjoy meeting a bunch of FABO folks.
What a GREAT place for a show. We were there a few years ago. My wife and I took a walking tour of the Battleship. WOW. You think to yourself "How can anything this big and heavy float? The WWII submarine was cool too. They are a LOT smaller on the inside than the movies make them look.
The swap meet is great and quite large. You can probably find anything you want there. @toolmanmike could answer the Friday versus Saturday question better.
I plan to try and go. I have been three times an have been pretty much rained out each time. As much as I like the show, 500 miles is a long way to drive to watch it rain. We'll be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, and see you if we can. Coming from the south on 35, how much longer is...
I have been 3 times in the last 6 years and been pretty much rained out each time. I did get at least some quality time looking at cars and the swap meet, but the rain.... I am retired, so I have travel flexibility. On Thursday, I'll look at the weather. I would LOVE to go and not get rained out.
I have gone to that show twice in the last 4 years. I guess I just wasn't very observant, because I didn't see a FABO tent. I am planning on going this year. Hope to see you.
I am just asking, because I have no idea. Would there be a cost associated with having a FABO tent or booth set up there? I'd be happy to chip in towards the cost. I'd assume that it would not be a problem to find a few Minneapolis FABO locals to coordinate.
I am planning to go. I went in 2013 and 2014 and both times it started to rain after we (my friend Al who owns a real 63 Dodge Max Wedge went both years) had only been there a few hours. I Hope we get luckier this year. Not sure If I'll drag my Barracuda up there or not.
I'll be there for the first time. I've been to Mopar Nats several times, really looking forward to this. I just retired, and we are RVing. Hey, all of us FABO folks should wear something to identify us, and if we see a FABO emblem, Introduce yourself!!!
