    engine swap question

    you will need a V-8 K Member, motor mounts for the swap too. And if I recall, the fuel system in a v-6 is smaller than in a v-8.

    I would recommend bracing the floor where you put it in, or weld some angle iron off the subframe connectors and bolting to that. Just bolting it to the floor board isn't enough. My buddy did that with his '67 Camaro. When he split his trans. it tor the floor pan up bad, and the drive shaft...

    rearend swap

    I just got done doing an 8.25 swap to 8.75 swap. The brakes were BY FAR the biggest pain in the A$$. You can use 8.25 brakes on a 8.75 without custom axles. I ended up buying rotors for a 73 Ford Torino Wagon w/ a 9" and it works perfectly!

    I was wondering if you could use the 8.25 backing plates and put in the 8.75 shoes?

    dakota 5 speed question

    I had an NV3500 in my 318 5 speed Dakota...If you are making over 350 horse, don't waste your time trying to put one in. You will trash them on a regular basis...In fact, if I would have kept it, I would have switched it over to a 904 or a 727.

    Rear End Weight differences

    Dana weighs alot more than the others. I recently did an 8.25 to 8.75 swap. Never weighed both of them, but the 8.25 did feel a little heavier. I don't think the difference was too much though...
