    8 3/4 install?

if you have the springs in the car you can do the install yourself, I slid the rear under the car off centered then jacked up the one side until it was slightly above the spring. Slide the read over the spring and let the jack down. You can then jack up the other side and give it a good tug to...

    8 3/4 build questions

This will mostly be a street car with a couple trips to the track mixed in a year. It will only have a 318 for awhile but I have a 440 that I will be rebuilding and putting in when I save up the cash. I would like to keep it a 4speed unless I run into problems down the road with the 440...

    8 3/4 build questions

    8 3/4 build questions

I guess the real question does it make more sense to just buy something that is already built and brand new? Looking at sites like Dr. Diff and Strange some of the ready to go units don't look like that bad of a deal

    8 3/4 build questions

If you were building one from scratch what would be your dream build. Best of the best. Gear ratios excluded of course. Thinking about building one for my duster and already have a bare housing. Just wondering what parts would be the best to use to make the most solid rear possible.

    New Yoker Rear Brakes

Does anybody know if the rear brake setup off a later New Yorker will fit on a 8 3/4 housing? I'm looking at building a setup from a bare housing I have and found a complete new yorker in the junk yard. Thanks!

    8 1/4 value

I would swap it with my rear but my car is currently a driver and I plan on upgrading to something better then an 8 1/4 I was only going to keep it if its worth saving. The rear is sbp, are you sure they never made 8 1/4's in sbp?? It is a different shape and size then the 7 1/4 in my duster...

    8 1/4 value

all good info I wish it had bbp axles though, it would probably be easier to sell. I haven't looked yet to see if it has a limited slip or not. Maybe I will get lucky :)

    8 1/4 value

I was leaning towards pulling it, I wanted a couple people to haul the car for scrap but nobody wants it because there isn't anything left on it so they wont get much money. I might borrow a friends trailer and tow it in myself. It will suck moving it with out a rear but if i can't get anybody...

    8 1/4 value

I was just wondering if there is any value to an 8 1/4 rear end? I have one in a parts car that I am scrapping and if there is no value to it i'm not going to waste my time taking it out. My duster has a 7 1/4 but I already have plans to upgrade to a 9in (i know i know but i got it cheap...

    Moser vs Strange

A friend just bought a ford 9in from strange. They went above and beyond to make sure he was getting the right parts and that they fit the way he wanted. They even had him send the bearings that worked with his rear disc kit so they could install them. He literally spent two hours on the...
