What is this floor shift bracket?

that bolts to the transmission, near the tail housing. You will see the two holes there. Then the linkage from the shifter threw the floor goes into the plastic bushing

Well that is the book I was referring to the fishy posted a link to. Like he said and the book says, there pretty much the same expect part sizes and some other little things. But the mods are the same. And yes it has a very good right up of lock up and non lock up torque converters.

    tranny crossmember and tranny mount

Yeah I know where Elk Groove is. It had the only gas station selling E85 for a long time. Now there is one closer to Modesto. We would drive up there and fill up a 55 gallon drum for my friends Subaru. No I dont know of any other FABO members that are relatively close

So the heavy duty has less holes than they non heavy duty? And I always wondered as well what the one facing down is for...well jomoper just answered the bolt pointing down question. So crackedback is correct, different crossmember. Maybe you have a spool crossmember like mine

    tranny crossmember and tranny mount

They probably are all the same. I have never seen a mount like that though, mine looks like the one on the right in the pictures that myasylum posted. Your mount, just like the factory ones are slotted, the slotted holes bolt to the tail housing, and then the area circle in red is where the long...

    tranny crossmember and tranny mount

Early as in pre 67? Because mine looks like Bobs. You may just have the wrong mount. But the way the cross member itself goes it should be the same. But like you said you might need to get a different crossmember. Where did you get the one you have?

    tranny crossmember and tranny mount

It bolts up how Bobs is in the picture. The mount on the cross member faces the rear. As far as mounts are concerned I dont know. I had one laying around. Took out the rubber(?) Im guessing and installed polyurethane bushings.

    Rear gear question

Thanks for the reply wish4hemi. I was thinking a 3.91 would be pretty high but since I cant seem to find a 3.73, which seems like it would be the perfect gear, and I am not really sure on the 3.55 being much different than the 3.21 that are in the car now. If the tranny had overdrive would the...

    Rear gear question

Hey guys I just have a couple of questions. My 74 Dart has an 8.25 rear in it, open carrier with 3.21 gears. I was wanting to put a Sure-Grip unit in it, I was looking at the Mopar Performance pn#P4529273 unit. I was also looking at different gears maybe. But who makes gears? Would that be...

    Foward and Reverse shifters?

Stupid me, see I thought the pivot point on the shifter was in the middle and the linkage was connected to the bottom, and thats were I got when in park the lever should be facing back, but the linkage is connected to the middle and whatever way the shifter is going the linkage is going that way...

    Foward and Reverse shifters?

Im sorry but I dont think I fully understand, so that is the part number stamped or cast into the valve body or is that on the tranny case?
