Wanted 65 Dart 904 V8 cable case core for rebuild

I bought a spare pushbutton trans years ago just for that same reason. I was afraid my 415 stroker might break the trans someday. 7 years later she's still going strong. It's funny all of the spare parts I have sitting around waiting for a bad event to happen. Jayson

    1966 Valiant column

I have a line on a 1966 column shift for a automatic with all of the linkage to a slant six trans. Is the linkage from the column to the transmission the same for slant 6 904 and small block 904 or does any one know if it works. Thanks Jayson

    8 3/4 axle out of c-body

Thanks guys. It's more than likely an open rearend. I'm not use to being able to do that on my white Dart, but it has a Ford 9" with a posi. Jayson

    8 3/4 axle out of c-body

I'm thinking about buying a 8 3/4 out of a 1968 Fury. The car is up in the air and when I rotated the wheel the drivshaft didn't move. The opposite wheel turned but thats it. Any ideas what's broken inside that would cause that? I can get the rearend for $90.00 and would plan on cutting it...

    What is this converter?

Ok I picked up an old 727 that I had in another car 13 years ago sitting in my brothers garage and I pulled the convertor out and found these numbers and did a google search and here in 2004 Mike asked the same question but never got any answers so now I'll ask. Does anyone now these numbers...

    push button or floor shifter?

You want to keep the pushbutton. I almost ditched mine 7 years ago when I was building my car and a mechanic talked me out of it saying the pushbuttons were one of the coolest things about these cars. I always get people telling me how cool it is that I kept it. Now about the trans problem. If...

    push start an auto?

The guy who help me find my pushbutton car told me the story how he use to roll his dads Valiant down their driveway and throw it in first and start it while they were sleeping. One night when he came home dad was waiting for him. Jysnflem

    904 and stall converter q's

I'm running a 1964 pushbutton trans and it looks like yours. Like the other guys said it should have been a slip yoke pushbutton trans, but maybe your Dart was a early model year and they used a left over trans from 64 or someone else replaced it. On the convertor I had to change the input shaft...

    Crackshaft Thrust Problems!!!

I put a 340 in my Dart in 2003 and it ran hot in traffic just like that. I was disappointed with the track times also hoping for a 12 second car it would run 13.30. I pulled the motor and found the exact same problem you did. The thrust face was wiped out and was scraping the block. I didn't...

    8-3/4 or Ford 9 inch???

I'm running the Ford 9" in my 1964 Dart. It was FREE so I jumped on it. I looked for the 8.75 ,but everyone wanted $200-$400 here in Michigan and I still had to cut it down being I mini tubbed the my car. So either way I was buying all new axles, bearings, etc. Yes the Ford 9" looses power,is...
