    Window channel felt

If you are refering to the "Cat Whiskers" that go on both sides of the door glass I got mine from Year One, part # XY43. Part number says they are for 73-76 Duster/Dart Sport. I paid $54 for mine a two years ago, now they are listed on-line at $84........ Crazy.

    window tint or no tint?

Mine are tinted, living in Arizona it really helps protect the interior............. Mine ran me around $150 a couple years ago (quality scratch resistant material). I think it improves the look of the car. I don't have any scratches in the tint yet. The rear window was done in two pieces...

WOW 43 replies already. That's more replies than I have received on any other thread I have asked for technical advice on yet, combined!!! And you have proven my point well. In fact the responses have high lighted part of my issue: It seems like a lot of threads I look at for...

    Last Post

This will be my last post at FABO. I am sick of some of the "Experts" that just seem to know everything and are frankly rude A-Holes in their replies to other members. A lot of you other members have been great and helpful with non-biased opinions and a great source of information. Thank you...

    Conversion Parts List

I heard there was a change in the emissions requirement a few weeks ago. Do you have any details of what year cars will be exempt? I was going to look it up on the web but haven't got around to it yet. My brother thought the cut off was 1972................ My tags are good through April now...

Phoenix, AZ members with '67+ collector cars...

NEED MORE DETAILS !!!! What are the requirements to make it emissions exempt, can I do this with my 1974 Duster in Maricopa county? I have been hesitant to do too many "performance" upgrades in the interest of keeping the car emissions legal. If I can get it emissions exempt then I am ready...

just dropped the engine in the bay today

Looks great, making good progress. When you fire it up for the first time it is an awesome feeling and well worth the work and anticipation. Contrary to what my wife thinks, worth the money invested as well........... It looks like you are doing it right, nice clean job & good parts.

    Easiest way to install engine/trans?

You can install the engine/tranny together. I just did mine, by myself, and used an engine tilter. It looked scary, I had never used an engine tilter before, but it worked out great. And it is so much nicer putting the tourque converter on the tranny/engine and lining everything up when it is...

    Mr Norm's GSS

Beautiful cars, if I won the lottery I would buy one in a heartbeat, but then again, if I won the lottery I would probably build one myself. To me building it is 95% of the fun. They are VERY nice though.

    Which Sccop?

I was considering the dual scoops for my 74 Duster, but the shape of the 74 hood just didn't work with them. The raised center of the hood looks right with the dual snorkle scoop. I would go with it, I receive lots of compliments on mine.

    Finally did something semi-productive

Nice find. As far as the kickdown goes Lokar kickdown cables work great, easy to install, and are a clean appearance. Something to consider, I am sold on Lokar. You would also need to buy the bracket that mounts on the rear carb stud....... I purchased mine from Summit: LOK-KD-2904HT...

    slant six conversion guys!!!!

My car is a daily driver so I was not out for tons of horsepower, aiming more for easy to drive, reliable, low & easy maintenance, decent gas mileage, and passing Arizona emissions. Another factor was a limited budget. Original plan was for a crate engine but the price for the crate engine...

    Conversion Parts List

I have attached a complete list of parts that I used while converting my /6 Duster to a 318. I opted to go with a basically stock 318. Since my car is a daily driver I wanted reliability, decent gas mileage, and I still need to pass emissions testing. I have been driving the car about 2...

    Kudos to Year One

I just wanted to share an experience with Year One. All though their prices may be a little high I have always had good experience with their shipping and customer service. This past weekend I was going to install a side stripe kit that I had purchased from Year One in December of 2005. I...

How did you get hooked on A-bodies?

Brother had a 70 340 Swinger, one ride in it when he beat a 396 chevelle was all it took to get me hooked.

    Crate Engine A to Z

Thanks for the info. I do not have a tranny yet, I was looking at a TCI "sizzler" seems like a good price from Summit. Know anyone that is using one? My brother has several 67-69 darts and I was kindof ASSuming that I can use some of the brackets and pulleys from them? He has mostly 273/318...

    Crate Engine A to Z

Thanks for the reply. Thats about the price I am finding after lots of surfing the web. One of my big concerns is the pulleys, accessory brackets, throttle brackets, etc. Do you think the older junkyard stuff will fit the new magnum crate engines? I am ready to go "shopping" but don't want...

    Crate Engine A to Z

I am ready to swap a crate 360/300HP into my/6 Duster. My questions are #1. Who has the best price on a crate engine? #2. What is really required to make the swap? I would like to hear from someone who already did this swap just to make sure there are no surprises. I only have $6000, if...
