Guys at the shows and cruises are really rude

I stopped giving a **** about what everyone else thinks. It's my car: I like it and if they don't then they can get bent. I especially love the guys who paid someone to do everything on their car and act stuck up about things at shows.

    Desert Car Kings

I can remember the old debates over American Hot Rod when it first came out. Why is everyone always so critical of these shows all the time? These guys might not take months or even years to refurbish (not restore) a classic, but atleast they are saving some American history from being a parts...

318 oil filter 90 degree adapter

I've been reading about this 90 degree adapter on my 318 due to it having a leak which is getting worse. I priced a new seal for this which is $4, but my question is do I really need this adapter? If its taken off, will my filter screw straight on to the block as is or do I need additional parts...

    Rear Main - still leaking

Well, as it turns out, it wasnt even my rear main. It was the rubber strip that seals the back of the pan. It had a tear in it. Thanks everyone for the input!

    Rear Main - still leaking

I have the two piece rear main, the lower half has little rubber ears that sandwich between the block and cap. If I read you right, you are saying to rotate the top and bottom pieces so the ends are not flush with the mating surfaces of the block and main. Rather than the meeting points for...

    Rear Main - still leaking

So, Green1 do I cut the little tabs off then so they stagger?

    Rear Main - still leaking

I might have to tear it all down and redo it. For $20 in seals at NAPA I can try it again.

    Rear Main - still leaking

Sorry, brain fart. I was thinking of the seals for the pan. I sealed the cap and main with silcone. Where is the rear cam plug?

    Rear Main - still leaking

I'll check the other sources tomorrow. Stagger the seals? The sealed with silicone where the rubber and cork met, but what do you mean by staggering them?

    Rear Main - still leaking

Ok Guys, I put a new rear main in the 318 last week with a new trans pan seal and today I drive it over to have some new tail pipes bent and when I get home its starts a slow drip. I siliconed the joining areas of the seals under the main cap and torques everything to spec but I'm still getting...
