This does appear to be a 5.7 hemi based on the valve covers, and doesn't appear to have any spark plug wires(later model), my 05 look like this but does have 16 plug wires going across the intake. This is a 2008? Could be MDS? What vehicle is it in?

Your going from 460 to 302? Seems like it would be cheaper to get power out of the 460... I would say Cobra heads( cast iron ones came on explorers), Cobra intake(If you are keeping fuel injection?? I nice 4 barrel intake if not), and upgrade to 1.7 rocker arms. That should be good for mid...
