    Mopars at Thunder Mountain (Pics)

Anyways, I had a great time at the show, as did the fiancee. (Now she wants to do some dragging!). Didn't meet any other FABO guys, but if they saw the skinny bloke in the "American Muscle" shirt, with the cute girl on his arm, and his jaw on the floor, that was me. :)

    Mopars at Thunder Mountain (Pics)

This past weekend was Mopars at Thunder Mountain, here at Bandimeer Speedway in Colorado. The weather threatened rain, but held out long enough for some sweet racing, and a nice collection of various Mopar beasts. I managed to make it up for the show, but was gormless enough to miss most...

    What B-body is your favorite?

I dream of one day owning a 69 Charger with a 440. Triple black. Oh yes.

getting a car title.. what to do...help please

Dunno if it's much different where you live, but here in colorado, it's a pain in the butt to get a new title. So far, here's the method the state wants me to take. First, do a VIN search, and see if they can locate the car under the VIN. This will include the previous owner, any...

Sneak peek at a Race Drifter

Dual calipers could be setup for a fade system, where one engages on light pressure, and both engage on heavy pressure, or it could be linked to the handbrake. Depends on who's doing the setup, and what the driver/s prefer/s. If it's being built for full race-spec, then that's a sequential...

    lisence time!!!!

Keep your mind on what you're doing, stay cool, and you'll be fine. :) I got lucky, passed mine on the first try though I lost a point for stopping a little past a stop sign so I could see oncoming traffic, and I also lost a point for not using my turn signal when parking.

    What's a 1971 340 Demon CLONE worth?

Black book value on a Demon 340, in a little better than daily driver status is $11.5k. And that's original. That's not better than driver, hell, that's barely "driver" status. Plus, it's a clone. So, drop the 11.5 to half for condition, then half that for clone and what it's missing...

    Ok...another whats it worth....a "340" this time.

Okay, so here's the pic set. Sorry about the quality, it's just MS paint. Now, keep in mind, some of these could just be due to the camera, or the light sources in the garage. Specifically, the rear lower quarters. However, if you go to look at it in person, these are some spots I'd make sure...

    Ok...another whats it worth....a "340" this time.

Scare me off? Haha, you obviously haven't seen my car pictures. No, those would just be something I'd really want to verify in person. I'd want to ensure it's not a camera or operator fault, and if those panels were indeed repaired badly and painted over. Hell, sometimes it's not even a "Bad"...

You should let em' know. They don't really have rights to use your images or words without your consent. I'd finagle a discount out of them for doing that. ;)

    Pet Peeve

Yegods, that drives me around the friggin' bend. We have a definite "tuner" culture around here, and while the wheather is getting warmer and some very fine classics are out and about, for every one I see, I see five or six godawful "tuned" grocery-getters. Yesterday, it was a Blue Dodge...

    Ok...another whats it worth....a "340" this time.

That's what it looked like form the pic. It's hard to tell, but here's a direct link. http://s349.photobucket.com/albums/q391/shadango_bucket/red%20340%20duster/?action=view&current=DSC00415.jpg If you mouseover the image, you can click "Full size". The lower rear quarter looks rippled. It...

    Ok...another whats it worth....a "340" this time.

Well, it's been sitting for a while. It does look like the rear left was smacked, rippled in, then filled/hammered back out. Also looks like the front left quarter may have been repaired as well...

    What is your Cylinder Index?

    6 - 74 Duster 8 - 74 Nova (Fiancee's) 8 - 80 Firebird 6 - 02 Mustang 28. Maybe we should have a "Count your cubic inches" thread... (1206, BTW)

    Posi, good for icy roads?

Aye, that's it. I can never remember that color name. Apparently, it was the most produced one, too. God only knows why, it's only slightly more appealing than pea-soup green.

    Posi, good for icy roads?

Now.. why is that familiar? Hey, you took my car! Oh wait, no.. Mine's that ugly bronzey-brown color, and I don't have TT-2 rims.

    Posi, good for icy roads?

Not the best for winter driving, no. But, it's not like it's impossible. Especially if it's a manual. I've driven a mustang, a 74 Nova, and a Granada through several blizzards here in CO. It's actually pretty handy to learn, IMO..

    Pet Peeve

I'm lucky with that. I'm tall and skinny, so when I have to park my head near the pedals, I can snake most of my arm up there and get to work. The fiancee finds it funny, though. She always makes jokes about hooking my legs over the back of the bench and watching my feet kick as I'm doing...
