    Help... Vin #'s dont match

Having a rebodied car might not be a problem if all the guy wants to do is drive it himself, but he would have problems if he ever decided to resell it. Not only that, but what if some other thieving turd steals it and removes the VIN? How would he prove that the car belonged to him if the...

    Help... Vin #'s dont match

I would like to see pics of the numbers also. People did have a bad habit of "rebodying" cars back in the old days but you never know. I once had a challenger with numbers on the rear that didn't match but after stripping the paint off I found out that the rear of the car had been smashed and...

Any Body ever see this Mopar engine

That's the Westlake Indy engine the Rod Shop raced in a Dodge Colt in the early 70s. It "disappeared" several decades ago and was found a couple of years ago crated up in a warehouse. It was listed for sale on Ebay and Racingjunk for a while. Don't know if it ever sold or not. Here are a couple...

    it went " poof" !!

I was visiting my parents out at their little farm and left my windows rolled down over night. Started my car up the next morning and drove about 30 miles to the next town. I was sitting at a busy intersection when all hell broke loose behind me! Wings were flapping, feathers were flying and...

How many, have nursed a knocking Rod home?

I melted a piston in a 360 AMC javelin once. It tore several chunks of aluminum off and gouged the heck out of the cylinder wall. I let it cool off and was able to drive it 50 miles to the house. It ran ok but by the time I got it home the rear seal was leaking because the blowby pressurized the...

Help me please tryin to beef up 318

Here's a link to an article about the different types of heads that could be used. http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/mopp-0607-mopar-cylinder-head/ My suggestions for a 318 would be either the 302 castings or some of the newer magnum heads. The 302s can be found pretty easily in junkyards or...

Help me please tryin to beef up 318

I would also advise against the 360 heads on a 318. Not only will they lower the compression but they will also cut down the flow because of valve shrouding which means you would also need to notch the cylinder walls in addition to milling the heads and intake. I would suggest the 302 casting...

Not a A-body,,,but an extremely rare mopar (* forest find !!!)

Very nice find and I encourage you to go for it. I think all of the old mopar muscle cars need to be saved because they aren't making any more of them and every year there are fewer and fewer left. Good luck with the resto.:) That GTX looks like it was loaded. Is that rear wing...

    1969 gts

If you are planning to fix the car up just to sell it for a profit I would advise against it. The amount of money you would make would not be worth the time, effort and money you would put into it. If you are planning to keep it and enjoy it I would go with the GTS over the GTX. Like BB-Dave...
