What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I decided to replace my roadkill fuel pump toggle switch with a proper one hooked up through the ignition switch with a relay. I finished the under hood side, I'll finish under the dash later.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

After spending most of my spare time working on my new engine build, I finally pulled the car out of the garage yesterday and gave it a bath. Today was a car cruise at the engine shop honouring my buddy who used to build my engines who passed away several years ago. The were several A bodies...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I stopped in at the machine shop today to deliver several boxes of parts and gaskets. While I was there they had my heads set up on the Sunnen machine getting ready to do the valve job. I did the pocket porting myself.

    Your first mopar...?

Technically my first Mopar was a B3 blue 1971 Demon slant six that I got from my Dad and was passed down to my sister. This was my next Mopar, a silver 318 68 Barracuda. I remember that it had typical northern rust issues and that I purchased brand new front fenders for it from Chrysler for...

Anyone Ever Bought a Foreign Car?

Thanks Steve. I didn't have any direct involvement in the border paperwork, but I know I provided him with the Ontario used vehicle package, which shows no liens on the car, and a signed bill of sale in advance. He picked up the signed ownership when he came to pick up the car. Having...

Catching a non-rotating lifter on first startup.

I am rebuilding my 400. It sat for years and the last three lifters on one side were stuck in their bores. Is it a good idea to run a hone quickly through all of the lifter bores to get rid of anything that could hang them up?

Do green bearings move the wheel out?

The change from small bolt pattern axles to large bolt pattern axles does move the axle face out about 1/4 inch per side due to the wider brakes.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I figured out a way to check the fuel pump lobe on the cam with a small piece of wooden dowel. I had 1/4 inch of movement bumping it over with the starter. I later checked my old cam and found the lobe has just 1/4 inch of lift, so the lobe on the cam is OK even though the pushrod wore down...

Anyone know about this drag strip in the Carlisle area ?

I was having fuel pump issues, so we got off the highway, but my buddy's daughter's GPS took us down a road just as you described. It wasn't fun on a hot day at the end of an 8 hour drive.

Anyone know about this drag strip in the Carlisle area ?

There used to always be an event there on the Friday night of the Carlisle show. We saw Don Garlits there one year. You are right it has a crazy banked curve for a shutdown area.
