Oh that’s another thing that tripped me out. Why the hell would they do that I don’t know. I watched some videos on that and they say double and triple check by taking measurements. Mine was CBBC but I miked the crank journals and the crank journals all measured 2.500 and I measured the new...

I heard about the overheating issue which i did overheat my engine climbing over a mountain towing a car, pulled over and let it cool, got over the mountain and went back to normal operating temp and still ran great!! I also replaced the thermostat on it to a 180, which doing research a lot of...

Nice!! I think what failed in mine was oil starvation going up these steep incline roads to go to a job site where I use to work at for several weeks. Noticed a ticking sound going up the hill then it would go away when I leveled out. Check oil and level was on the low side still above the add...

Did measure the connecting rod and thank god it didn’t tear up the connecting rod or journal. Had the cylinder heads milled today and barely building the bottom end of the engine and doing a re ring build on it which I got lucky there was no ridge in the cylinders

I have the same style truck also and just about the same Mileage. Trying to look on the bright side of it. Thought of going with a used engine but the risk of either a good or bad engine especially with the design flaws of oil sludge buildup and clogging oil pickup screen. Looking at the design...

I think I’m in the middle as far as love/hate lol but will see how this build goes. Would like to go 5.9 but I’d have to get more stuff for the truck and I just wanna get this thing going.

    4.7l woes and rant

I’m currently building a 4.7 out of my 2000 Dakota which spun a rod bearing, caught it in time to where it didn’t scar the rod journal which I was surprised, besides it being a unique design, I figure I’m up to the task for it since I use to build engines before, older pushrod engines. Getting...

Losing A Junkyard of Classics - Turlock, CA

Oh **** didn’t know they had a place like this in Turlock! Shame to see them cars crushed! Try to convince the owner to crush the newer cars and keep the old ones. Also any AMCs there?
  25. schwinger

    other AMC owners?

Currently have this ones 1971 Javelin base model with 232 and 3spd auto. Previous owner made it into a T Top. Also working on a 72 Javelin SST that has a 401 in it and gonna install an AW4 soon.

    Back n the saddle again!!

After selling my dart that I had for 15 years a couple years ago I was on the lookout for another one but people are asking gold for them now but found this 1972 Dart at a junk yard close to where I work at, looked like hell but car is pretty solid, just surface rust. I just had to save it so...
