If you are around Sacramento, there has to be a way to avoid the freeways. If you stay under forty and wear sunglasses you should be fine. I used to ride my motocycle up there before the helmet laws, and a couple of times I rode without a helmet (I know, stupid) and my eyes watered but were fine.

here are pics of my wagons doors from when I got it a year and a half ago. Note the custom armrests LOL. That was one of the first things I had to change. And the rear doors have red metal while the front are blue.

Remember you are dealing with a giant beuracracy, it takes them a lot of time to do anything. But it is always a good idea to stay on top of them to make sure they do not screw it up.
