Pulling her out of the barn...

Sorry, no wagons. They are my dad's, I can get pictures. One is running and the other has not in a long time. It is pretty rusted, both have 400's in them I believe. 2 others but not much left of them, most parts and engines gone.

Oh yeah, a 76 Dodge crew cab 4x4. The red one and way too rusty to carry on.

No luck getting her started. I will need to pull her out of the barn to give me better access to work on her. I don't think I am getting spark or fuel either one. Need to diagnose it to be for sure. Just tried what I had on hand, new coil, new coil resistors and new ignition control unit...

Pulling her out of the barn...

Ah, okay. Bummer. It has been a loooong while since I have messed with Mopar automobiles. Rusty on the details and not sure I ever knew the specifics on the A bodies with that switch. Thanks for that info.

That was a nice looking Duster. That one you had did look a bit darker. Thanks for the info and hopefully we will soon see what she looks like clean and in the sun.

Pulling her out of the barn...

Thanks, we will see how it goes. The Rally wheels were on my 74 E Body but my brother also used them on his 76 Plymouth Duster. So, not sure of the lug size yet but they did fit that A body too.We do have the 68 wagon still sitting out by the barn. I'll check the side trim condition.

Not much rust in the quarters, just the lower edge mainly in front of and behind the wheels. Everything but the interior and trunk is filthy.

A few more of her as she sits. I believe I mentioned early on I will need to get a new tail light panel as this one has been repaired previously due to rust I believe. That and the rear lower quarters are about all that is rusted I believe.

These tail lights were 1972 only correct? Still not sure what color it is. Not butterscotch but maybe Honeydew from 1972? For now just wondering but I will check the vin and title to figure all that out.

Pulling her out of the barn...

I can't believe it was that long ago that I was looking at getting this out of the barn. My son is begging me to get it out of the barn. He turns 16 in June and so we aired up the tires yesterday and went and got a new battery today. I have a new coil to try as well, seems to not be getting a...

Pictures! These are just of her sitting in the barn covered in dust. Talked to dad and he said he had started her up from time to time. Last time he tried a year or so ago she did not fire. Here she is as she sits now, 48,800 miles on the odometer. Click the link in the pink... 72...

What a great welcome, thanks for that. Funny, I am on a classic Sea Ray forum (as well as several others) and we all absolutely love pictures there too. I will certainly do my best. I will get some photos of her in the barn and some of the process of pulling her out. Dad must have...

Pulling her out of the barn...

Hello all. Just joined the forum. We have a 1972 Plymouth Duster that has been sitting in our barn for some 20 plus years now. We bought it from the family of my childhood best friend. Then we put it in the barn after a bit and there she has stayed. The car; I have not gotten a...
